I agree with Morj when he says Saul's reveal is emotionally cheap but I don't mind it personally. I think it all boils down to opinions and everyone has different lines as to what is and isn't good; it's like someone who likes 100% sugar in their boba tea and then there's people who like 50% or none. I'm not super opinionated on most OP topics unless it's in a joking way because I'm honestly just very easy going for the most part. The only real topics that get my BLOOD BOILING are BORING(LRLL) plot points or just outwardly DUMB(Sukiyaki) characters. It may seem like I'm a fence sitter being on both sides of the argument but I really am just a chill guy. I do like the Robin scene, but I do hope that Saul is more than just a pillow talk cry buddy lol

Chill Guy Syv Also feels like Oda brought Saul for the sole reason that he's a giant and its the elbaf arc, i feel like if he skipped Elbaf (like he kinda hinted at in that one message), Saul wouldve stayed dead and Dory and Broggy probably wouldve stayed on Little Garden

I can only speak for myself but I woudln't say bringing back Saul ruins his sacrifice on Ohara, he gave up on his life to safe Robin, doesn't matter if he actually would have died there or not, he prioritized someones elses life over his own and that is the only thing that counts. One thing I have to add is that I hope Oda will explain why Saul never tried to look for her Vegapunk told Robin on Egghead that Saul is still alive, she doesn't even take a month to go visit him Meanwhile Saul knew all along that she was hunted down by the whole world, it seems like he didn't care lol

He was heavily injured and when he healed it would be difficult for a world government giant to look for a little girl without bringing attention to himself, and he would definitely have a high bounty himself. It’s probably better to wait if you figure that she will end up in Elbaf one day if she survives and starts reading the poneglyphs

Bruh Saul was from a non-Elbaf giant village. So I always took his "savages" comments about the Elbaf-giants as him buying into world gov propaganda. Are they war-loving fighters? Yes. But they have a society, they have culture, they're people. Saul learned more about them, he moved to Elbaf, they helped him save the books of Ohara. He decided to share knowledge with them as a teacher.

I think oda is cooking with the Saul not dying........Saul not dying and then going on to reveal Ancient Kingdom lore this explains us the lore as well as it's saves IMU's image around one piece fans in general as he was able to all he can to keep that as a secret. Ohara Buster Call, Egghead Buster Call(Not all details where leaked) ,cuting a deal with Roger. Plus we understand why someone must be studying about Ancient kingdom for past 22years through all those ohara books as he was there during Clover and gorosie snail talking.

Morj is 100% right. 1133 was the worst chapter of elbapf so far. The saul piece didnt land with me at all partially for that reason. The broader point about the fake out deaths is the more salient one. Jimbeis sacrifice to let them escape in wci was one thing but the raid in onigashima was the tipping point. Kinemon was even worse than Pel imo
