Just ordered one because of your nice review. I caught the drone bug just a month ago and already I've purchased 8 different quads (Husband 501 & 502, Bugs 3 pro, Visuo 809, Syma 5c, Holy Stone 110 and 109, UDI beginner type and a JJPRO X5)! It really started when I bought a DJI Phantom 3 pro a couple of years ago but haven't even flown it yet--illness and procrastination. I'm learning to fly before I send the Phantom up in the air. FYI I'm 72.

I am behind in the times watching this 3 years later! I have had a couple of Skyrider cheap drones and have had them fly away on me. I paid an extra few bucks on this one recently and now I can confidently fly a budget drone. I wish I would have started with this one. Now that I can maneuver it well, I think it's time to go for the upgrade. I might go all out (for me anyway) and get the DJI Mini 2. Hoping for a good Black Friday sale. Only drones with GPS have the ability to return. If there is no GPS, then the return means "fly backwards"

Looks like fun. You likely had the camera down too far, but looks like when I could see trees and houses the camera isn't too bad either! Give you credit for flying in this weather! I'm not as brave! LOL

HopeFullSpiritFlyer1 Yes, it has the newest system with a height control. The flight distance for video is 60 to 70 meters when there is no WiFi interference.

Do they have extra batterys, 6to7 min is pretty poor flight time. Mabe 1200 ma or larger batterys . 10 to 12 min would be alot better.

Stan Cook DJI was always at the expensive end of the drone market compared to their competitors. There certainly is a significant price markup compare to cost on DJI drones.

There was talk last year of Apple buying DJI. Apple gladly enjoys selling DJI drones & DJI even made a White version of the Mavic Pro for Apple Stores.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 You pay for the marketing and advertising. It doesn't cost all that much different to manufacture. there are some tighter tolerances in the manufacturing process but that is a one time upfront cost. Gaining and maintaining market share is the ongoing cost factor.
