@CaptainGrim Displate is pretty suspect of some insanely high level artwork and property theft and they need to be stopped not encouraged to profit from other peoples works. They have a "verification process" which lays all of the responsibility upon the image uploader to be legitimate but quite clearly the world doesn't work like that and people copy paste a lot of work on the internet which is still theft. To wash their hands of any responsibility of validation while making a huge profit from said works is unfair, as a content CREATOR and ARTIST such as yourself surely you can agree with this...

During the BFA expansion, there is an Event where you can ride a horse named Cooper, but if you dismounted him before finishing the quest, Cooper would instead Follow you around like a (non combat) pet and this stacked, so you could end up with like +20 Coopers following you in 2 straight lines. And i brought this attention to some friends, i showed them how it's done, other players who was gonna do the daily saw us doing it, asked how, i told them, then we got the idea to mount up, with an army of Coopers each to Kul Tiras, more and more people were told how to do it, and eventually, there was enough coopers to fill the whole damn screen! I was standing by the railing facing the fountain by the Flight Master, there wasn't a single surface that was safe from Coopers, Even the ROOFS had Coopers! It was one of my proudest WoW moments xD

The King Jokumm incident made me laugh harder than I have in a long time. Peppie showed the right amount of restraint to have his cake and eat it too, being able to pretty much enjoy an exclusive Ice Giant playable race for a few days before he decided to turn himself in. That GM was super cool to see the humor in it only give him a slap on the wrist, if things had gotten more out of hand the GM may have not been so understanding and may have been much less forgiving.

I had a similar situation as the Serenity Now funeral crash. So I was on Emerald Dream (any other ED players probably knows where this is going) and the guild I was a part of went to go to a funeral over in the eastern plaguelands since it was a large funeral with other alliance guilds. This was back when Emerald Dream was still an RPPvP server, so all of us went there in our respective RP gear since this was also before transmogs were a thing. So the funeral was going smoothly, we were paying our respects and mingling, when the largest horde guild on that server known as Warsong Battalion showed up and completely crashed the funeral, ganking and camping everyone there. This probably happened for either around or more then half an hour and caused the guild I was in to basically disband and go to other servers.

I think the worst part for people who didn't enjoy being a zombie and being a dick, is that there aren't rewards for clearing out the zombies. If Blizzard introduced large rewarding quests for ghoul player killing, or something similar like kill 5 people as a ghoul and 5 players who are ghouls for a elite quest of exp and decent gold income - and make it repeatable. Maybe introduce a non flagged area where the ghouls can only attack every hour and you have to try to stand in defense, i'd almost say make it an instance pvp battleground you can have like 200 people in, 150 zombies and 50 players with some guard assistance, could do a stormwind and org instance have alliance be ghouls for org.. and reverse for the horde. Then people will be on board and you can bring it back every couple of months for fun pvp stuff.

If they were questing or something, sure, like you said, bad mannered, but still to be expected. Agreed. You have to be a special kind of lowlife to crash a funeral like that, even if it’s taking place in a PvP zone. It’s a funeral, a virtual one but still honouring a flesh and blood human who died. Now admittedly I don’t play WoW so I don’t know how feasible this is but… at the same time the organisers should have known that something like this would happen and chosen to have their ceremony in a non PvP area. It reminds me of when I played Star Trek Online at the time Leonard Nimoy, Spock’s actor died. I felt an unusual compulsion to fly to Vulcan, the homeworld of Spock to sorta silently pay my respects. What I didn’t expect was to find Vulcan overloaded with other players who had come to do the exact same thing. Hundreds of players gathered in a certain spot and it turned into a virtual funeral of sorts. But of course while the majority of people were solemn and respectful as we shared our memories of Spock with each other, there were a minority who did everything they could to ruin it. No pvp fortunately but they ran around releasing party poppers and stuff like that. They were ignored, but it just goes to show there are honourless lowlifes in every community. The devs took notice of the occasion and soon put an official memorial in that spot on Vulcan.

I used the Banana Peel toy on players in the Brawler's Guild arena, causing them to slip at a crucial moment... such as avoiding a one shot mechanic. 😈 Or in Suramar zone, I used the Teleporter toy to cause trains of bots running over it to be sent back to the refuge area and they'd get stuck there for days. 😂 Ofc, Blizzard gave both the nerf bat... 😢

Crazy to hear about these events that happened so long ago. They are stories that make being an old wow player that much more special. We were there! Vanilla really had some of the best memories because WoW had a true community back then where players and guilds knew each other. If you wanted to join an end game guild you had to fill out an application and pray you would get accepted. I was the first shaman on Icecrown in full T2 and 2.5 AQ Thanks for sticking around Captain Grim , always loved your content!

He then cleaned them out and vanished into the ether. Instead of raking in tens of thousands of dollars worth of resources like Eve, this guy raked in tens of thousands of dollars worth of tears.

Personally I've always believed in PVP, that if a character is a certain amount of levels below you, if you choose to gank them and most likely one shot them. Then you shouldn't just loose honor, but a level. The more the level difference is, the greater the punishment. More honor loss, Conq points, to rating, or even more levels. Why? because there is no sport in it. your just being a dick.
@Ocyla7 ай бұрын
Yeah I always had my own system of honor for that, I'd never kill someone 5 levels or lower unless it was a contested area and they didn't get the hint to leave when I was staring at them and not attacking. A karma system like Lineage 2 would have been a good idea too.
@madcat78911 ай бұрын
The Legion Pre-Launch event was so buggy and I fucking loved it. As a level 70 paladin, you could get the level 110 buffs from those vedors for free, and they would give you the 110 VERSION of that buff. Those world bosses, however, were scaled to *your* level, since the pre-launch was where they introduced that scaling. So here comes a level 70 Paladin swinging his stuff, and in five seconds flat kills a level 110 World Boss Demon with a Super-Crit Avenging Shield\Judgement blow.

you have it backwards, it wasnt evil pvp'rs who invaded a funeral it was a funeral that invaded a GAME people play for FUN keep your IRL crap out of my game if you disagree: a similiar situation (IRL) would be to take a picture of your dead friend, family, pet, whatever going to a kids birthday, a kid youre not related to, a kid you dont know and yell at all the kids for laughing and running around while youre trying to talk about some dead person, at that point the birthday doesnt even need a clown because you come free of charge dont drag your BS into my game and expect me to act like the bigger person i am TRULY sorry for the friends and family that had to go through that i really am but dont put the blame on the evil players when you make it THIS FUCKING EASY to mess with you

Great vid! I remember when I was in the Wrath beta, I found a bug with a quest in Howlng fjord, or maybe grizz hills where you were given an item that when used would summon a rock golem you would then ride to do the quest. It was possible to bug this quest out by using another item (can't remember which) while ridding the golem that would dissmount you, but the golem would stay as your minion. You could repeat this indefinitely and make an army of golems. I took 50-60+ up to Zul drak to solo Thrym and suceeded. I thought about keeping quiet about it to see if it made in retail, but alas, I was a good boy and reported it..... :(
