First time I’ve come across ur videos. This was a fun watch. What I liked more than anything was when the other boat approached and asked if he could join ur spot, ur response was “come on with it”. No attitude, just an angler, welcoming another angler. Loved that. That alone caused me to sub.

That was awesome. I'm headed down south tomorrow. Will fish mangrove on day 1, then reds for 3 days. They raised the limit in Louisiana to 3/man. Is that a 22' Seahunt? That's what I'm fishing out of.

There are very few people that are pros at throwing a cast net, as long as you get the job done it doesn't matter. I throw a much smaller cast net though.

Thanks for watching! And i was using a penn spinfisher 6500 combo with 50lb braid and a 40lb flourocarbon leader. No weight, tied straight to a 5/0 mustad demon circle hook. Hope this helps.

Man that was an awesome spot. My heart was racing watching you get that fish in before the Grey Suite man got him. Those were nice size mango's. What's the size limit where your at? Were 10" in shore and 12"off shore. It's amazing how smart they are. One time I had to go down to 15lb mono to get them to even bite but then I lost a lot from breaking off. Great video. Tight lines......

There’s a lot of factors that go into play like depth, current, type of structure, how highly the structure is, are the fish hungry,…etc but I have been in 100ft of water and chummed them to the surface many a times.

I have watched a ton of videos and yours is the only one I have seen that captures the fun of black snapper fishing. {Can't bring myself to call them Mangroves]. I am amazed they bit the 40 flouro. We fish out of Pensacola and the water is usually too clear to use over 20 to 30 pound. The sharks are just insane everywhere. Had to sub because black snapper are my favorite fish.

You can do just about anything you want with them, their meat is about the same as red snapper. Me personally i like to either just cut the fillet up and chunks and fry them or bake/Grill/Blacken them.

They need to open a cobia hatchery, used to be back in the day you’d catch 5-6 cobia every time you’d chum for mangs, nothing like it used to be back in even the early 2000s, i don’t know what did it, either the Louisiana boys shooting 100 cobia a day for every day straight for 20 years or something, it’s just sad to see, the destin/ Pensacola area has also been destroyed, no more cobia which sucks, they need to either open a hatchery like in South Carolina or put stricter limits, every rig/ wreck should have cobia on it
