Not that I've found, Morgan. It can cause skin irritation in some, but then so can so many of the woods we turn or work with.

@@TheMessyStudio there are plant apps that say differently. I just watched a video on grandpa of doss farms and he was cutting down a persimmons tree and the app showed it was 'toxic to humans'. Is Texas Persimmons different than regular persimmons?

Yes, texas Persimmon is a different species. The fruit is much smaller. And many people make jam from them.

According to the wood toxicity data base, Persimmon (texas Persimmon isn't listed) is listed as a mild skin irritant. And I trust this data base.
