I use acrylic paint, and yes, I only burn it, and fill it after I out the finish on.

Great job, leaving the wings on was a great idea, it let's you have a thin rim and wall but still have support for the stogie in it's fuller state.

@TheMessyStudio it's really cool design, most cigar ashtrays would need to be turned 1.5-2" thick to be functional but you found a way around it. Good stuff Billy.

Yes. Technically, I suppose it's called an icicle. I use finial for longer, thinner, ornamental spindles.
