Enjoyed the video and the callouts about FD, autopilot, yaw damper, etc. Also helpful seeing the approach plate. Thanks again.

Fine approach,captmoonbeam. Early morning flights are ranked among the best, especially when the sky is dynamic with clouds and vibrant-color. Adding descriptive-notes to your videos add to the action. Cool stuff!

skyyguyy Thanks, for the feedback. I wasn't sure if most people prefer the view only or like the added notes. I think I'm going to add more extras in the future.

Notes are cool because we can't read your mind. Since we all know flying an airplane requires pilots to remain steps ahead, and in your case many miles ahead, observing the setup before an action adds extra depth. I don't shoot a lot of my flights. When I have a video, I just upload it without getting into much editing, but I do know adding a few lines would help include viewer.

Another great vid. I noticed the 'flicker' on the glass instruments was gone. On the altitude tape I saw a white line with some 'mountain peaks', are these altitude presets, for field elevation and MDA, etc? ...and the best part ..you have a couple more I need to watch!
@captmoonbeam9 жыл бұрын
david barker Hi David. I had a choice, buy a new plane or a filter for my gopro. I tried the $30 neutral density filter first. It helps a lot but, hasn't completely stopped. In bright sunlight I still get some flicker but, it's much better now. The chevrons on the altitude display are at 500 ft increments. It's hard to tell in the video but the double chevrons are for thousands and the single chevrons are 500's.

@6:42 the tower requested a radio check..? Why?
@captmoonbeam9 жыл бұрын
+BossaNossa1 That's a great question and I'm surprised no one has asked that before. Controllers will periodically check their primary and backup transmitters to assure they are working and that the transmission quality is good.

Is there some way you could change the position of the camera? I would be interested in seeing the manipulation of the flight controls as well as the view out of the aircraft

I'm working on some different angles.

You should get someone to film your landing from the outside:)

Sasquatch6160 Oh S**t! I'm busted! To be honest, I had so much going on with the weather and trying to find a hanger, I totally forgot. Remembered when I started making the video. I'll be back :)
