It must be a great feeling sharing your flying time with your wife and showing her your skills. I remember when I got my licenses back in the early 1980s, I loved taking my Dad up and showing him what I had accomplished.

Pretty cool Capn! Always appreciate a good video from you. I chuckled a bit about your delay to get to Aurora! I used to live in Plainfield before moving to Fort Myers, and Plainfield was close to Aurora. If you came off of 88, there is no telling what traffic jam will be in effect. I hated that area.

Nice, you had the BOSS right up front with you. Question. Did you do a quick flight before the flight back? Whenever we got one of our planes out of any sort of major inspection/ work, we always did at least a once around the patch, just to make sure the big pieces still worked as advertised.

Very nice. It is good to be able to fly with the wife. Atleast it was for us back in the day. Anything over 400 miles she would do the airline but shorter and she would sometimes do the 172 with me. She did the back seat and would read and nap though. Only a couple times did she want to set in front. She couldnt care less what was going on flying wise. Be safe.

I can relate to Kris and the turbulence...My bride was on one of the last US Airways B737 flights and the Capt. was a scud runner into FLL. Had a tailwind and he ran the scud and did a go around as they changed the runway. I was in the airport observer lot listening on the loud speaker to the tower. Asking SWA etc if they would take a 21kt tailwind landing. I picked her up at the Terminal...white as a sheet. Even with 2 G&T's administered at home she could not talk. The next morning I gave her scrip for Xanax and she will now fly if it is an A380 and she is in the front. Xanax for every flight...just in case.
