This is amazing tutorial. Everything you guys upload onto this KZbin channel has been tremendous help. I am glad I picked capture one pro as my primary software to use. Amazing support!

Awesome webinar as always! Great explanations David! For the Instagram ratios: The aspect ratio for portrait photos is 4:5, while the aspect ratio for landscape photos is 1.91:1. The best Instagram image size for posts are: 1080px by 1080px (Square) 1080px by 1350px (Portrait) and 1080px by 608px (Landscape) Quality between 70-80% Everything else is cut down/downsampled/compressed by Instagram.

I have a question i need help with… and I hope I am wording it correctly because I am confused on exactly how to ask this. When I export and I use the export recipe of 4x5 with the pixels set to 1080x1350, does that mean before even exporting that while I am doing my edits I do not need to crop the image to 4x5???

Great Webinar! Thank You! I have one question left: In the export dialog I can't find "Job Name" as selectable element in Capture One 15.3.1.15. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for that Video. One question: Is there a way to automate the export to a folder which is on the same layer as the originals? For examples: Jobname is the basefolder and contains: Originals, PSD and ready (similar to sessions but I want to you the catalog). In the ready-folder I want to export into 3 subfolders: High resolution, Screen resolution and CMYK. My goal would be to set this once to use it on different jobfolders. Any idea? Thanks in advance

Hi Christoph, In the Location tool, if you look in the "Folder" drop down menu, you will see an option for "Same as original file". That will put the exported files alongside the original. You can still use tokens to get your subfolders you mention.

Exporting to Instagram is best in 2480 long in horizontal only. Otherwise in portrait mode vertical use the Instagram app for portraits or output settings to 1080.

Whatever happened to the Undo button? I’ve only just realised this but when you hover over it, it used to display text what you’re undoing, that is no longer the case.

I used Title field and the Title token for export together for a recent job. I took photos at a dance eisteddfod about 700 dance routines, where I edited a number of photos per routine for a set price. So after looking through a lot of options, I ended up using Title. Each routine had a unique competition number, so for each routine I put in a separate title. ie Comp_0005-Taryn-Smith in the title field. Then in export, I used the Title token for the subfolder in the export folder and so then I had Capture One create 700 odd sub folders, which each had the correct routine in each one. From there I Ftp'd the files to my WordPress site. My gallery/ecommerce plugin can do bulk albums, so as each routine was in it's separate folder, I could say, hey, look at the master folder, make a separate gallery for each subfolder underneath that. Come back a bit later and it was done. So a little bit of extra work putting in the Title for each routine, but that's it. I think if I couldn't have used something like Title for Capture One to automatically create the folder structure, it would have taken me a lot longer, be a more manual method, and probably making more mistakes. Thanks for the webinar and the others, I've learnt even more now and they are great to watch.

I’m new here to this software what if you want them to go straight to the client could it be done by email or is there another way it’s supposed to be done?
@CaptureOne2 жыл бұрын
Hi Anthony, If you want to send the finished files to a client, that has to be done outside of Capture One - through email, as you said, or other means of contact. Best regards, Beatrise, Capture One

Google translation: with my Panasonic G9 There is a metadata that contains the data of the lens used. XnViewMP allows to see them. (Lens Type LEICA DG 12-60/F2.8-4.0). I think this data deserves to be in the list of Tokens I haven't been able to use this metadata as a Token in Capture One yet. Anyone got a lead?
