People complain about the 59 being crushed. Im a chevy lover and the 59 is a Fav. But that 59 was done. Way to much rust to restore. Not all can be saved. Such is life

Oh that hurts seeing a '59 Chevrolet getting crushed! At least all the wagon specific stuff was stripped off. That BMW made quite a flat pancake! RIP 1959 Chevrolet!

Hate to say it, but you could see rust falling like a blizzard from that rusty X-frame and B-pillar. Those '58-'64 Chevy frames were by no means the sturdiest on the road

while most people are like, "that 59 chevy could have been saved." I've worked in a junkyard and I understand. looks like it's been picked pretty clean. could have saved the front and rear suspension, but overall it looks like it's ready to be sent on.

Notice that the "notoriously" weak screen pillars of the 1959 did not collapse. Not even when finished
@parkerhowell6463 жыл бұрын
Not so much the pillars were weak, just the cut out for more leg room entry made them weak.
@diegosilang48233 жыл бұрын
The weak spot is between the pillar and the cowl section.

@alexpitilli33314 жыл бұрын
Most of the cars junkyards acquire from insurance auctions. Generally these cars are 7 years old or newer. Other cars are bought from police impound yards. These are usually abandoned vehicles. Some purchased from people calling the junkyard looking to get rid of there old car. The key to making money is buying newer cars with a high parts value. Most of the cars being crushed in these videos have a low parts value.

1st car, wow an old wagon, rare one too looks to of had all the good parts taken though but yeah these sadly rusted out badly which i why there rare both here and in the usa as they were made by couch builders plus there are no sills that thing is only fit for the crusher, 2nd car some 90's car looks to be rusted out in the sills, 3rd car another 90's looks hyndia ish? might be chevy, 4th car oh older bmw late 80's styling looks to of been picked clean other then one rear light but you can bet if it was a M serise it would be a lot more stripped, dam going to get a 5th in there 5th car looks to be a crysler with that front 90's esk,
@Slacksfifth4 жыл бұрын
The blue hyundai looking car is a ford contour, possibly a 97', the E30 bmw looks to be a '91 model yr.
@S.carr.c4 жыл бұрын
Slacks 5th Avenue the e30 cannot be a 91 because it has the old lights etc, it must be 80s and you cannot tell exactly which year because they didnt change every year, but i have a 90 and a 89 and both are the facelift ones, so it must be older
@Slacksfifth4 жыл бұрын
My fault, it is the older style; but from 1989-1991 the tail lights were slightly different. The earlier e30 had the rear reverse lights vertical and, later e30's was more horizontal with plastic rear bumpers.
