I like how actual repairs are made and demonstrated. Please upload more. Car wizard, that other channel, just talks about the issue but never fixes anything.

thats my main reason I dont watch Car Wizard, I love his shop but I wish I could see the stuff happen!
@Donnner937 сағат бұрын
Agreed! I do enjoy his videos even though they are quite repetitive, but THIS is content! Golden tips 'n tricks for a DIY-mechanic like myself, just need more BMW's fixes! Thanks Car Ninja, lovely combination of fixing & teaching/cursing

Might be me, but David seems to be lecturing more than teaching. But hey, it's obviously working for him...

Which is why I do not bother watching Car Wizard any more. Jonny is the real deal.

@@chrisbeall9098 I'd say you're not wrong. His angle is to prevent you from getting taken for a ride by a mechanic...and buying junk cars.

My son had a 2012 Jetta TDI w/ manual transmission. At one time during a road trip sticking to the posted speed limit, he got nearly 62 mpg. If it weren't for diesel-gate, I would have owned one too!
@pamed763 сағат бұрын
That seems like a well taken care of diesel. Thank you for showing your work.

Glad to hear you like the TDI engine. Very informative video. I just recently got the same service done on my 2015 Passat as well.

I don't own European cars and never will, but I appreciate the experience Jonny has when it comes to fixing vehicles. Much to learn by listening and watching

I had a 2013 Passat SEL. Great car. It had a lot of torque, on the highway when you went to pass someone it didn’t even downshift. Sold it back to VW because of Diesel Gate. I owned it for 3 years and I think it cost me $4,000 after VW and Bosch paid me

Pull the head off the Cp4 high pressure pump and inspect the cam and roller for your customer ninja ! They do tend to fail and wipe out the fuel system, I just did a complete system replacement because metal went through everything. Injectors are very sensitive to metal in them 😂😂🫣

My dad bought a 2009 Sportwagen TDI. W exchanged the timing belt. Few months later dieselgate happened, the ABS started acting up causing limp home mode. He reluctantly sold it back to Volkswagen and doubled his money. Sad to see it go, though.
@69Dartman7 сағат бұрын
Going to replace the timing belt and associated goodies while you're in there? I had to do the water pump on my ex 95 Neon so figured I might as well do the belt while I'm there even though it was low miles.

While I miss my 2012 GolfTDi, I don't miss VWoA or Winterkörn's "rogue engineers". My state would not allow emissions for continued ownership so VW bought it back...which came out to be letting me own it for 3 years for free. However, it taught me that diesels make torque.

My Jetta leaked water at the firewall and would pool in the rear footwells. I sold it in the winter and had to take a hair dryer to melt the little ice rinks back there. Hated that car
