Car O2 sensor attached to lawnmower exhaust

For some reason, the incident at the end of the video caused the O2 sensor to draw too much current and the multimeter fuse to blow.
I think the readings for lawnmower exhaust were lean due to an air leak in my exhaust set up.

That can is not aluminum. I went over ten years of regular use before blowing one of the two current input fuses on my multimeter. There are protocols you can learn to follow to avoid blowing those fuses but it requires a certain degree of discipline and impulse control.

So technically an O2 sensor can be used to generate electricity? Also I heard that the build up of carbon on the sensor is what causes it to “fail.” It changes resistance values and trips the cars computer.

blew the multimetre, in milliamp mode is the danger mode, cause its on the same fuse as the microamp mode. should have 3 fuses...
