The SR5 came standard with 6-spoke 16” aluminum alloy wheels, but they could be upgraded to a 5-spoke 17’’ wheels like you see in the video. When your vehicle was bought from the dealer the buyer probably just upgraded to them. You’re lucky though, they’re much nicer than the 16” ones!

@@jackalproductions2352 Yeah, thanks, just assumed 17" were standard. I bought mine used about 10 years ago so I guess the previous owner upgraded. Nonetheless, 17" look well IMO.

As a sport sedan owner now that I have a kid I'm thinking about getting one of these. Seems like a perfect SUV for all year around.

an amazing choice, with high levels of both safety and reliability, as well as minimal depreciation, if you can get your hands on one you can’t go wrong!

Hey, As you reply to comments, I got a question. What should I look for while buying a used 04 4runner that's got a suspension lift? It has 228k miles on it and the owner dictates he has done proper maintenance alongside changing tranny fluid every 40k miles. What are the odds of having one in such high mileage? I don't care about the gas mileage, I need a reliable 4wd vehicle that I count on during difficult times as I'm from Upstate NY where Blizzards are common.
@jackalproductions2352 Жыл бұрын
i wouldn’t recommend any vehicle with such high mileage when looking for something you need to depend on. a vehicle like that is still a great buy as a recreational or secondary vehicle, but i think one that has less miles would be a better bet if you truly needed to rely on it

Great review, is the 2004 Toyota 4Runner a worthy buy in 2024, maybe, around 84,000 miles for $12,000

if you are getting a clean 4Runner below 100k miles at that price i’d say it’s a steal!

If i buy a brand new 2022 4Runner and keep it - would still be good in 20yrs from now?
@jackalproductions23522 жыл бұрын
It is impossible to say for certain with new models because they are unproven, but given that the 2022 4Runner has many of the same mechanical parts that have been proven to last in earlier models, I say there is a very high probability the new 4Runners will last 20 years or beyond

@@davidaix5771 not entirely accurate, the transmission has changed since 2002. And as for the engine, though it is the same one, it has had many improvements and changes that may affect long term reliability

Yes the v6 they have been use for a long time They have a timing chain instead of a timing belt so just change the oil and the 5 speed transmission is ancient and they've been using that forever too
