HA! ...laughed my socks off... you officially became my favorite car car reviewer even though I'm BIG Citroen fan and you obviously hated every bit of it (and obviously, not just it) :))! rock on, please! ...cause, among the mass of other car reviewers, you are just like Citroen in cars... different, cheerful, interesting, humorous, intelligent, sarcastic and "left field", with a healthy dose of "I don't give a f*ck" attitude! thanks... :)

Doug DeMuro is my favorite, but he is a very close second. Got to love these new fresh reviews. We had a Citroen Pluriel sensotronic? talk about a car you can love and hate in equal measure at the same time :)

I really don't like most French cars, I'm into ugly fast Japanese cars with huge rear wings, but, there is something about this that I really admire. I like its individuality, there's no doubt that it's a Citroen, but a interesting looking one.

Very entertaining review as always, but a bit too harsh this time.

Actually, manual air conditioning is a £600 optional extra on the C3 Touch.

Thought the bloke was being harsh with the little Citroen but the (fair) conclusion brought it all back in line. Neat quirky little car

Just got it as hire car from Hastings direct even though I told them I’m to big for the vehicle 😡 . The cars to small, horrible 1.2 engine, reverse camera is blurry, the clutch biting points are horrible (I can’t stop stalling it from stand still), suspension super crashy over speed bumps even at low speeds, inside is tiny, making me get abdominal cramps pain, worse vehicle I’ve ever driven in my life.

This presenter/reviewer will be on Top Gear before long. Irreverent, too the point, imaginitive and entertaining. Like Clarkson c1995 before he became egotistical (though trying to act though he's not).

Ah, Mark, cars are bloody boring, but you are absolutelyhilarious. You should be on telly. I love the "ring out your dead bells" for the base models - that is soooo true.

Last time I drove a french car was ....a long time ago, a Peugeot 206 hire car and seating was uncomfortable, pedals to the left, and steering vague - seems not a lot has changed. Great review, but I think you may not be at the top of Citroens list of 'approved independant' testers. Which is why I like 'Honest John'
@Alfy476 жыл бұрын
With your sarcasm you initially down graded it but in the end you liked it. We already know that with that money we will never get a perfect car. What really matters to the buyer is if we can cope with the specific flaws of each car.

Just had a C3 "Flair" for nearly a week as a hire car. Literally the only good things I could say is it's well equipped, the seats are comfy and the ride is decent for a small hatch. Bad things... The drive was dull with lifeless steering which is insanely light at low speeds. The bodyroll is monumental. I'm not sure which power output the one I had was but it was sluggish and reluctant to rev making hills and overtaking nigh on impossible. The gearchange was notchy and vague with very long throws between the gears. The quality of the interior was generally shocking with loose trim panels and big gaps and cheapy cheap cheap plastics. The driving position for a small car was bizarre, I felt like I was sitting on the roof of the car looking down on everything around me!? The fuel economy wasn't brilliant either considering it's a 1.2 petrol I barely broke 40mpg average over my time of driving it. The touchscreen is pretty poor overall, the pages take an age to load sometimes, navigating through menus upon menus upon menus is frustrating, the fact you control the heating and AC through this screen is ridiculous! Yes this car had a reversing camera.... Which is a complete waste of time on such a diddy little car and being french it'll more than likely go tits up anyway! And to top it all off it does look a little silly from certain angles (although the DRLs look quite cool)

Why can't Citroen build cars that handle properly nowadays? My Little Saxo 20 years ago was a real hoot - my AX from 30 years was err a real hoot and my Xsara was good too. Nowadays I drive a nice MK7 Golf because nothing in the current Citroen range really appeal to me.

The C3 110 Flair Nav with a Start Stop engine (which I've got) is fine. I like it a lot, find that it goes where I point it on bends and has enough power for my needs (fifty mile round trip commute most days). I can't get close to the 61mpg quoted. Actual average is 44.7mpg even on posh petrol, and I do accelerate gently and avoid braking unless I really have to. The driver's seat is slightly off-set to the left of the driving wheel centre and I'd rather it wasn't; but it is a very quiet, relaxing and comfortable to drive, with a good six-speed box which feels intuitive. I don't have to think about shifting gears up or down. The DAB radio sounds good too. Definitely don't regret buying it; but if there had been an EV version with, say a range of 250 miles I'd have jumped at that instead, even at £10.000 more.

Honest John meets fox news journalism. A total departure from reviews to inform to a style that gets too hard to entertain.

I disagree. To keep it short, he has stuck to list prices for consistency. He has been very clear about the difference in specification for different models. Obviously discounts may apply as for all motor cars...

You couldn't be more wrong. If we trust statistics PSA-cars are equal in real quality with Toyota. The worst is VW. I'm looking at the amount of euros per car the manufacturer has to use to fix problems during the warranty time.
