Dabry Abby no it's because of the way that he made it here from such humble beginnings, he started out as a typical bandcamp musician and released 9 albums on bandcamp until he finally got the record deal with Matatdor, where he released teens of style and teens of denial, so basically he pretty much got here by pure grinding and hard work on his music, which is admirable

i am so beyond proud of them. i heard the song "bodys" from twin fantasy quite a bit ago, and loved it, but never really checked out the band. i only ever really got into them when this album released and anthony fantano gave it a great review, and immediately fell in love, and now ive listened and relistened to all of their albums. proud to say that theyre my favorite band in the world, and probably will be for a long, long time. such a phenomenal group of (nervous young) human beings.

I didn't like Car Seat Headrest. Not even sure why. I like a lot of very similar bands, this one just didn't hit right. But one day, probably about a year ago, I was at karaoke night at a bar. And it's this weird little gay bar, so of course someone queues this song for karaoke, and the second I ever heard of this song was this drunk person singing it badly with everything in their soul. And in that moment, on beer #5, I finally understood. Completely reset Car Seat Headrest in my brain. Love this band now.

I now associate this song with ear pain and tears cause I was on a plane ride once, and I don’t have Spotify premium, so I just screen recorded a handful of songs but didn’t have a ton, so I ended up listening to Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales on loop. The whole time, I had a horrible super painful ear infection while stuck on the plane and it sucked.
