A lot of states in the US do, and almost all western european countries do as well. Self defense is almost outlawed, criminals get a slap on the wrist for their doings meanwhile regular tax paying citizens get prosecuted to hell and back for parking fines, speeding or expressing their opinions social media. Why? It's been shown that free bail doesn't lead to an increase in people not showing up to court. Which is the literal entire point of bail.
@SpontaneityJD
@SpontaneityJD 2 жыл бұрын
@@Dylang01 Bail, like it or not, is more than just a means to ensure re-appearance in court. It serves as a strong deterrent to crime. If criminals know that they will be immediately let out after arrest, they will be more prone to re-offend, even if they have an open case. But if they know they have to post a certain amount of money to be free while a case hangs over their head, they will think twice. No defendant wants to pay a sum as collateral for their liberty, especially repeatedly. Bail also protects the public from the same individuals from re-offending while at liberty for this reason.

“Released without Bail” must be a new term created by the liberal media. The traditional term is “held without bail.” Which means it doesn’t matter how much money they have, no amount of money can get them released, as no bail is set. “Released without bail” implies the historical meaning of “no bail” with the subtle, but major addition of the word “released” added to it.

Just keep it as it is but make the judges wake up and be less lenient on the matter. I agree that we need to try and keep the prison population down but we should be doing that by prosecuting victimless crimes less, such as drug offenses. Not by letting people off the hook who cause physical or financial harm to innocent civilians. There are tons of people who got 20/30 years in the 90's in for having a pocket filled with crack. Hey Rob, The definition of terrorism is “violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.” Although your claim about being scared doesn’t fall under that category, I see what you’re saying. The government stripping your right to defend yourself is a perfect example of tyrannical overreach, and the ass-backwards laws are inherent with big government. That’s exactly why the Constitution was framed for the federal government to have limited scope, with the states having the lions share, and individual liberty being the underlying principle. It’s almost as if the Founding Fathers knew a thing or two after leading a revolution against tyranny. However, this is all part of a cycle. Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men (we are here). And, weak men create hard times.

Once you cross onto the property of another mans family and risk endangering them through your unlawful actions you also accept that your actions may result in your untimely demise. This nonsense of catch and release by politically compromised "law enforcement" will eventually push law abiding citizens to take matters into their own hands to secure their neighborhoods. An excellent example of this is how the Korean population in LA came together to defend their property and community during the LA riots.

My first reaction was to get the vehicle undercover and it's pretty clear from todays video that is already done. I fear, given the current cost of living crisis, we are likely to see an increase in crime be that shoplifting, burglary and auto theft. This is happening in the Midwest as well...My old Buick was stolen and recovered...and it seems like it's treated like a step above shop lifting....During the recovery I asked if they had any clues on who did it..and the response was "be happy you got your car back." In my neighborhood, they stole two trailers...an RV tear drop trailer...and a commercial trailer. The tear drop, the police pursued but the suspects got away, after the trailer disconnected and rolled over. And a couple of days ago, the broke into a garage and stole an SUV...while the residents are at home....It's ridiculous.

First, leaving a Ferrari unlocked, in the driveway is silly. Might as well put a large sign on the hood that says steal me. I relate quite well with everything you've said about crime as I was car-jacked, knocked unconscious, thrown in the back seat, taken out in the Country and thrown off a bridge into a river. The only thing that saved me is I came to as they were dragging me out of the car and was able to struggle. After I hit the water and they realized I may not be dead, one of the guys started shooting into the water trying to kill me. It had a major impact on my life and to this day, I hate driving at night. I now live in a gated community and have become very proficient with guns, having one in every room. I replaced all my windows with storm proof windows and storm proof, three locking point doors. Extreme? Maybe, but I dare anyone to make an attempt at breaking in. Oh....I live in Texas where we will kill you and I would with no remorse. BTW - the two young guys who hijacked me - 19 years olds out on parole after a 1 year stint from an attempted robbery and shooting one person. Yeah, the legal system is ****** up.

The only exception is if they catch the thieves in the act. This is why our insurance premiums go up every month. Choose... Pay higher insurance premiums or pay higher taxes for more cops. It find it curious that people will protest in the streets against higher taxes but will pay increased insurance premiums with minimal complaint.

We're living in interesting times. Back in the good'ol days of banditry and no real organised law enforcement, people in remote areas used to fortify their homes. So that may have been a fortified manor, stronghold, keep, or castle. The last being a bit awkward sometimes because it made other lords and kings a bit nervous. So now we're going back to those times. If you can afford it, you can fortify your manor. Or maybe live in your own fortified community. And perhaps hire your own watchmen. Which is great, if you're wealthy enough to afford it, and oddly enough, many wealthy people are doing it. If you're less fortunate, you have to rely on law enforcement. But the wealthy and protected are calling to defund the police, or prioritising policing based on political concerns, rather than the concerns of the communities they're supposed to protect. Especially when police chiefs are directly elected. Couple this with politically motivated catch & release policies, it's unsuprising that criminals realised there's much less downside to crime now.

BLACK POWER This would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the great contributions of the Black community to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature make them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their dedication to exceptional civic values, stable traditional families, parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture and their unflagging pride in maintaining exemplary clean, neat and orderly homes. Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people. Property values are boosted and energized by the entry of African Americans into an area thanks to the caring and sincere respect they show for these communities, their absolute dedication to lives of law abiding peaceful neighborliness, and the examples of all they have achieved through their enthusiasm for self improvement by hard work and a self-reliant, can-do culture of integrity and honor. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation. * Please copy and paste for all to know *

I was one of the guys telling you to protect your house last video. Good move hiding the Ferrari rob. Also, in Texas you don’t need to drag the body into your property. Criminal mischief at night has no border. On a serious note. A couple led flood lights will be an amazing deterrence. 100-200 watt commercial flood lights (not equivalent, get one actually rated) are like $100-$200. You only need one to light up the yard pretty bright. Hook it up to a motion sensor or just leave it on it’ll make a big difference.
