This looks soooo good! But is the rum necessary? Or is there something I can substitute it with? No one in my house drinks so that would be kind of hard for me to get lol

So glad you are back! I am in the middle of making this right now actually lol! I am trying to find the hole recipe, as far as how long you kept your ice cream base in the freezer, and approx how much apple fritter mix you put in the fryer. Do you have a link where that might be? Thank you ❤
@ByronTalbott8 жыл бұрын
+Beth Gates Freeze the ice cream base until it's thick enough scoop... 2-3 hours should work, but it can vary. I only put about a tablespoon of batter in the fryer for each fritter, but again, you can put two or three times as much for a larger fritter... It's totally up to you.
@Mrsgates20108 жыл бұрын
+ByronTalbott Thank you so much for getting back to me so soon! Just about to make the fritters. Ice cream came out perfect. I would suggest to put cling wrap on the base before you put it in the freezer as it had a "film" on it upon taking it out of the freezer after 2 hrs. Amazing recipe ❤

Holy... *drools* oh man if only I had an ice cream maker... I have a popsicle one but I lost this tool that unscrews the bottom of them when you are taking them out of the mold. :( . god those look amazing though. I wonder if you could do the same with peaches but like with a bourbon pecan ice cream? Peaches are huge in season here in Texas right now.

Qdo the apples have to be shredded or can I just slice them
@AncyDancy8 жыл бұрын
+Sara Mana I usually slice them and remove the middle ( where the seeds are ) so the slices are in the shape of a ring. I put little bit of sugar and cinnamon on apples as well. Apple inside the batter becomes soft and the batter itself is crispy. I prefer it this way :)

What type of apples did you use?
@melynnejimenez82428 жыл бұрын
Would any type of Apple work? Like say, Granny Smith? Or does it have to be a red apple?
@MangaManiac8 жыл бұрын
I'd say depends on what you want to go for. Granny Smith is more sour and acidic in it's taste than for, let's say, Royal Gala. Note though that it won't be as sour after it's cooked, but you'll still taste the difference. ^^
@melynnejimenez82428 жыл бұрын
