This is one of the best compact cars no one knows about. Good looking, reliable, economical, fun to drive on country roads yet refined on the motorway. Had my 2018 for just over four years now. If they brought out a new model I would have another.

@@paulwilson7234 Same here, we had our model 2019 from new, unfortunately it was totaled a week ago in a moderate speed crash (no injuries, it's very safe!). With the money from the insurance we could buy any other car (even go electric) - we bought a used, top spec, 2022 Mazda2 :-)

Great detailed review. Just bought a 64 plate 1.5 as my wife needed a town car...not a diesel. I think the Mazda 2 is a great car and I enjoy driving it. Very comfortable and cheap to run.
