I loved s1, but it was S2 which sealed the deal that yes this is one of my top romance animes. Still to this day, i believe Dangers in my heart s2 should have won the romance of the year award.

Chii being intensely oblivious is one of my favorite subplots of the season. She's the only one who never gets the slightest clue of what's going on between our couple even when everyone else has picked up on it. When watching the season for the first time I was full of suspense wondering when Chii might actually be forced to accept that Yamada and Ichikawa are a couple. I almost felt in greater suspense about that than when they would declare their love to each other. One joke that went around at the time was Chii wouldn't understand even if she was invited to their wedding.

15:00 In my short years of experience with anime, I don't recall any other series that gave me such indepth rewrads so damn often. Season 2 of Dangers just lines everything up to go one way or the other, and then pounds you in the face with something better than you even thought was too good to ask for.

Fun fact; the valentines countdown here is exact time/day as real world valentines when this show was airing... also the valentines episode consists of multiple valentine chapters in the manga and short panels over the years that the illustrator did every year into one episode.

Drinking age is 20 in Japan if i'm not mistaken ... so Ichikawas sister must be at least 20 not 18.

Yep, they changed the 'adult' age to 18 recently, but they still use 20 for alcohol and coming age ceremony.

I was hooked in S1, but by this point in S2 that I really came to love this. He is truly growing out of his shell, and this season really does cover what it is like to overcome your insecurities and fighting for what you want in your own life. It's just peak.

4:22 They’ve been together for almost two years. They likely joined the basketball club at the same time in April of their first year of middle school. This is taking place in February of their second year. The school year ends in March.

In defense of Chii, while shes clearly a bit dense and isn't really able to read the room, especially where Ichikawa and Yamada are concerned, her friends do her zero favors by constantly keeping her out of the loop about things.

Bruh even the dumbest person in the entire cast of this show could tell what was happening. Chii really is just the worst in some ways, but also the best in others.

Chii was actually my favorite character in the anime. She isn’t mean on purpose, she’s just oblivious. In the case of the invite, she wasn’t next to Yamada and Moeka, and she wasn’t paying much attention to the conversation. What I really like is that Chii will occasionally, accidentally get too close to Ichikawa, and Yamada will get jealous and pull her away.

When we met Ishikawa he was always jumping to conclusions and assuming the worst without ever trying. I'm glad in his growth they included little relapse moments where he starts to fall back into his old ways. Not total regression, but I think it's important to show people that growth in not a straightforward path. Big improvements are great, but sometimes it's just small incremental steps, and the occasional step back isn't a total failure, it's natural.

Perhaps it’s just my line of thinking when I first watched this episode, but the reason anyone would eat the rest of the chocolate like Yamada did was to determine the other person’s tastes. He said it was too sweet for him, and now she knows exactly how sweet is too sweet for him.

Drinking age in Japan is 20. Ichikawa shows Yamada a pic of his sister in haregi(gorgeous kimono) after he breaks his arm. We do that in Japan when they turn 20 as well.

The drinking age in Japan is 20, his sister is in her second year of university. You get a lot of ages wrong so, here are a few to note: 18 to drive a car, 16 to ride a motorbike, 16 to consent to sex, 18 to live alone, 16 to live alone with parental consent, 15 to leave education, and 18 to join the military.
