Ultimately, Dandadan is basically just a romantic comedy mixed with a shounen battle and with horror/ sci-fi. The manga is absolutely nuts, but the story stays grounded by focusing mostly on the characters themselves and their relationships with each other.

There is the info actual Dan da Dan is set in One-punch-man World or Mob psycho 100 i don't remember anymore. The Tunnle is actually based on a urban legend and you can see the same in mob psycho 100. "I am an awkward fellow, after all" is a sentence that Ken Takakura really in a movie said. It’s not set in the same universe as OPM or MP100. It’s not even the same mangaka so why would they be in the same universe? The haunted tunnel is just a real life urban legend just like everything else in this anime. Things like the Flatwoods Monster and even Turbo Granny herself are real urban legends.
