Carb sync yamaha r6

Trying to synchronise my carburettors on my 1999 yamaha yzf r6 5eb and forgot to put in reducers, very godly job!!
Rough idle, high fuel consumption, ect
Yamaha r1 r6 Kawasaki Ninja zx10r Suzuki gsxr honda cbr 600rr 1000rr fireblade hayabusa.

Hey man i hate to be a ballbuster but in the video you was turning the fuel mixture screw. The screws you are supposed to adjust are in between the carbs, they connect together so all the throttle plates open equally. There are 3 of them. You have to remove the air box and use an insanely skinny screw driver to get to them. Just thought it might help out.

That little brass screws under the carb is the air/fuel mixture. The sync srews is in between the carbs, #4-#3, #2-#1.

I did notice that you did not sync your gauges first. To do this you will have to fit each gauge to the no2 vacuum pipe from the carb. Remove the plastic cover from each gauge. Start bike with only the No 1 gauge in the No 2 carb , see where the needle is and then plug in the second gauge in no 2 carb. Adjust the needle till it reeds the same as the 1st by turning the screw on the face of the dial, Repeat this for all 4 gauges. (The no 2 carb is your reference point.) Now u plug in each gauges as per your video. You will notice that all the needles will now be at different positions. Now you have to set them from the top of the carbs , there are 3 of them one between each carb, left will sync no 1 & 2 carbs, right no 3 & 4 and the middle will sync the left and right carb bank. You adjust fuel air mix for idle and low RPM at bottom of carb.

Piston liner cracked? Pretty common for it as I've just found out, mine was doing the same. Took the cylinder head off and found cylinder 1 had a nice split in it

I have a 2000r6 when I start up the bike it seems to run lean sumtimes and when it gets to running temp. the bike cuts off and sumtimes if I pull the clutch in and hit the gas it dies also. what wld cause this to happen

Can i see the gauges after you turned screws. I think you adjusted wrong screw for sync.

I don't think your doing that right, the mixture screw won't sync the carbs. You'd set all the air mixture screws according to the bikes manual, usually 1.25 or 1.5 turns. Then to balance the carbs there's a leaver with a screw ( look out for and loosen the locking nut) connected to the butterfly valve on 1 & 2 then a second on 3 & 4. Balance both of these individually then there's a third bang in he middle that then balances 1 & 2 with 3 & 4

I have messed up my bike because I turned the wrong screws. its the screws on top that you need to adjust. lol total fail!!

Hey man I've watched some of your videos. I have a 2000 R6 that has had new plugs, fuel pump, and carb synced. The bike will not rev up. Sometimes it will wake up and rev decently, then most of the time you have to 1/4 throttle it to keep it running and it will not rev. Have you had/fixed this problem before? Thanks,

I couldn't get my carbs to sync completely because I had slightly lower compression on cylinder-1 But hope this vid helps someone else, I'm pretty sure those are the adjustment screws I checked when I had the carbs out for the clean! Check my other vid for carb clean.

The sync screws are between the carbs not under the carbs. You set the screw between 1&2 and 3&4 then screw between 2&3. Turn the screws but don't push into them. Haynes manual explains it very well. The screws you adjusted are the pilot screws and are for mixture

I stupidly watched this video and followed his instructions then realised that it's the screw on top not that screw. what do I do now I have messed with my air/fuel screw? is there a factory setting?

The reason you sucked the fluid through the motion pro is because you didn't read the instructions, they say to back out the screws all the way for each register then adjust them all with the tool that goes on the side of the motion pro tool, then you put them on your carbs... and yes like other people here said, the sync screws are between carbs and those are air/fuel mixture screws. You're going to have another newb paying more at a shop with this misleading information.
