Clear and concise! I'm new to Carbide Create, and so far, this video is far better than the videos produced by Carbide Create. They leave out many little but important keystrokes and the logic to go with them.

Thanks a ton for this video. Right on point, perfect speed for the complete novice like me (never used a CNC in my life). Keep the good work.

Thanks! This is JUST what I needed. I am building a little box to hold my end mills and wanted to add a little round area for magnets. This will make that really easy.

I agree with BoscoBob, some of those videos are way too fast for some of us older newbies. Thank you for your great video and please continue to educate us.

PERFECT timing! Struggled with a design and now I should be able to knock it out without problems. Great video. I appreciate that you move slowly enough through the steps to actually follow what you are doing. Too many videos go so fast that I find them impossible to emulate.

Wow ! Just like Bob said, I actually had this exact issue today, I'm already bald, and now I have less hair. I actually was designing a tablesaw pushstick sort of speak. I saw on another site a triangle with notches, or steps as the catch, that was easy, what I wanted to do was pocket the inner face with rounded inside corners. I didn't do it the way you described...which is way, way better. I first drew a circle the size I wanted and layed it over the drawing and then traced the inner part of that circle with the "Node" tool, then erased the original circle leaving my traced section in place and then attached each side to the three circles using the "Node" tool. Well, that was my long way around the block. Thanks once again for using your excellent teaching abilities to help. Andrew

Thank you for taking the time and not only explaining but showing me how you created this shape for me. I fought this for a while on CC and inkscape but nothing would merge or align. but as you showed creating the separate box and cutting the space away then joining really opened my eye to a whole new world of options! again thank you!

Outstanding explanation and clearly understood. Great job! If you have the opportunity to do so can you please do a walkthrough using Carbide Create Pro to do 3d carves and grayscale 3d. Thanks!

I am following your videos and they are great. I was wondering if you could show in a video how to design and set up toolpaths to cut vertically . I know that the XXLShapeoko will extend past the front of the machine far enough to cut 3/4" thick wood. I have a design for a vice to hold the wood secure past the front of the machine. Just not sure how to create the file. I am looking to build boxes that are .5 thick 5 inches wide and 9 inches tall. Thanks Jeff Peters

It's not on my near-term list of things to cover because it requires some setup that I haven't done, but I'll keep it in mind for sure.

so are you saying Illustrator is easier , I have to cut a part much like your example but lines joining the curves are not horizontal and vertical
@see-n-c66064 жыл бұрын
I'd say it's more powerful, but it cost money. Inkscape is almost as good given it's free. They're simply dedicated drawing tools so they're going to have more drawing features.
