It would have been nice to see the finished swing hung in place with the mattress. Nice video.

Thanks for the great idea. I made one, sealed three of the ends with silicone before applying screws. The fourth ends I used threaded inserts and allen bolts(8-32) and used silicone on the inside to seal the fourth end. I sprayed mold release inside the form, all went well. Thanks again for the great idea.

Something I don't understand is, Why people like to eat resin? :/ It is common sense that when you start chopping on a resin board, little pieces of resin in go to your food. Why people likes to eat that? And I say "like", because there are so many examples of people making or using resin boards, that I don't see another reason..... It's crazy!

Beautiful work! I’m making a 12 foot table now using composite decking for the top. I’m notching out the leg posts to support the weight of the table top and frame since it’s so damn heavy. Lol. Making these large tables is a great way to save money and accommodate large groups. I picked up a bunch of cushioned chairs from Home Depot on sale.

Love your work, but doesn't using the CA glue (aka..super glue) to fill the small pockets make it unsafe for food contact even if overcoating it with a food safe finish.

@@PenguPong I just got started on the mold. Couldn't find that plastic at Home Depot and Lowe's but I didn't ask either. A friend gave me some Ash wood tongue and groove. I cut off the tongue and groove edges and glued and clamped three edge to edge for the mold base. Then ripped some strips for the side and ends. I'm going to take another plank off the Ash and make the left and right sides. I'm planning for a 2" or 3" clear River in the center with thin layer of epoxy on the bottom, spreading coffee beans, then filling the remainder of the river. I wanted 16 x22 but my planer is only 12". I may have a lot of sanding ahead of me.

@@p8ryotIf you have a router, you can use it to plane large pieces of wood. Good luck!

@@PenguPong Thankyou, I've considered making a planer sled. I only have a small palm size router (dewalt), hope it will be good enough. I also have a power hand planer. I think it might shave it down but having never seen it used for epoxy projects I'm wary that it may cause more bad than good. Any thoughts on a hand planer?
@PenguPong
@PenguPong 7 ай бұрын
@@p8ryot Power hand planers are designed for quickly removing material and not for achieving uniform thickness. Consider using a small router, but expect to do some extra sanding.

Good CNC Machining and Design tries to reduce time in both manufacturing and design time. Accuracy id the schizzle!

Great job brother. I made one very similar, but on the top of the armrests I installed 2x6's, and chamfered the edges. The reason for the 2x6 and not 2x4 was so I had room to sink a couple of stainless steel cup holders in the armrest. Love the channel man! Keep it up!

I once cured, epoxy is very safe especially since you’re not eating it as much as the knife may cut into the epoxy. It’s fine.
