Ant caves are actually pretty fun and friendly. I mean, some games choose to enlarge cockroaches or flies to a size bigger than your dog, kill them, and their corpses will explode into a pile of meat and juice, elden ring is very conscientious to only make a super giant ant.

0:02 Welcome back. We are now in deep Ainsel Well. Location near city of Noxtella where you will get to during a certain questline. One of the two Eternal Cities in the game. This city was the place where Nox, race of people who made mimic tears were living. They were put underground for trying to rebel against Greater Will. We can see Carbot doing what is not recommended on the first playthrough. 0:09 Prepare to see a lot of it. 0:13 As you can see having very heavy weapon (swords in this example) and doing a jump attack with them while powerstancing is one of the most viable ways to clear the game (or at least clear the mobs). It requires quite a bit of strength, but what you get is well worth the investment. BTW yeah, those are giant ants. They live underground in Elden Ring and in Noxtella there is a variant that is being ridden by some Noxtella warriors AND if the rider is knocked off the ants turn on them. 0:19 THAT is a reference to the spit attack the ants have. I don't know if this was patched, but last time I played this attack was BRUTAL. It would easily shred you if you were hit by it from too close distance. Why? Because it hits on EVERY FRAME IT TOUCHES YOU! It's the same thing that made the Bleed Dogs so powerful. It's broken. VERY broken. 0:21 These are clay warriors. They were made by both Eternal cities as a... I think army, but they are so slow they may as well be stationary traps. The only problematic part about them is how many there are. It can be overwhelming. Especially with how tanky they are too. But you can safely run past them, they don't even give that many souls. 0:30 Here is an interesting one. Do you remember Falling Star Beast? And remember when I said "it still evolves" well here is the in between stage. You see those things first dig underground and then they make themselves a cocoon like a butterfly or a moth and inside that cocoon they grow into something... worse. This thing can be found in a few underground areas and it's a VERY annoying environmental hazard. But it's by far the least problematic of the three evolutionary stages of those aliens. We will see the final form in the future. It's quite a spectacle. 0:36 And it can be hit which makes it swing back and forth. And it can be killed. Thank Lord. 0:42 Did I say they are slow? Sorry for this misinformation. They are FUCKING SLOW. You really need to try to be hit by one. 0:55 But beware that the numbers matter in this case and there is a SHIT TON of them. 1:00 They also have a bubble magic. It's shit. Don't bother using it. 1:07 You want to know what is this gigantic skeleton thing? Well me too. If there is an explanation for what it is then I just can't find it. At best there is speculation and mine is that it's a cool image one developer had in their head and just put it there. 1:11 This though we know what it is. It's a dragonkin soldier of Noxtella. This thing was failed attempt of Eternal Cities at creating their own dragons. They look pretty cool though and one is in a VERY shitty location. 1:14 And yeah. Honestly this is not that challenging boss fight. It is a nice spectacle, but if you know what you're doing you will win without that much trouble. 1:18 Jump attack is very useful on bosses as well. And whenever they fall like that and have this glowing part you can hit them VERY hard. But on him it shows up on the head and not... there. 1:21 Honestly I wouldn't feel very proud about it.

This would technically just be the "Deep Ainsel Well" Right? Like since the dragonkin was the boss, he is nowhere near the actual Nokstella quest stuff. All you have to do to get here is go down the well in lurnia. Just like how you can go to Sofria by going down the well, but you can't get to the second part of it, where you get Ranni the fingerblade until you beat Radahan. The actual Nokstella area isnt until you get her the blade and then tele there from Caria Manor.

LOL- this has became how I'm playing with my current and trusty Claymore+Flamberge duel weild build. Every first hit is a jump attack. Loving this duel wield build- almost always have 2-3 status effects going at any time, either x2blood + ice or x2blood + fire or blood + ice + fire plus even without the status stuff it hits like a truck! Next game is straight sword duel wield- want to try that rotten crystal sword + blood on some other weapon- maybe the regular crystal sword! Love these videos!

oh yeah, powerstanced jump attacks, the attack that made every other obsolete :D Imagine trying to pull of charged R2 when you just just powerstance jump attack for 50 percent more damage in 50 percent less time, while keeping your mobility :D

@@koldox4381 Two handed charged heavy has motion value of 170 usually, meaning it does 70 percent more damage than R1 - but only when fully charged. Jump attack while powerstanced has motion value of 115 for each weapon, so 230 - 130 percent damage of R1 attack more. And THEN you can also add claw talisman... Its actually even more than I wrote first time :D

The Malformed Star getting annihilated by jump attacks had me dying, fantastic content as always! People say magic makes the game easy, but jump attacks can trivialize most enemies. Source: Am a melee player

Magic still infinitely easier. Windows for jump attacks are way shorter on any enemy.

@@sydorovich2532 I agree, since with magic you can sit back and avoid learning the boss’s moves as much. Although once you already know them, it’s easy to bully enemies with melee as well in my experience. Especially using cragblade, since it breaks poise even faster.
