First interaction with the butcher: Me and my brother sits in a dark basement room at the tender age of 9 and 7, unknowingly walking around. We open the door and instant regret was upon us. We spent the next 5 hours panicing over what we had just released and the next two days trying to kill him. Good games doesnt have a ''play through time'', they have moments that will scar you for life.

So realistic ! How many time did I spent duping those expensive elixirs and damn books ! LMAO Not even talking about epic items to lend them to friends... When PK players were about to loot them, you just had to drop the original on the ground to have the copy disappear in front of the disappointed murderer... Laughter guaranteed ! :D And the Butcher is spot on ! Also love the Skeleton King, and the shitload of archers are spot on as well ! LOL And of course, I did use an Archangel's Staff of Apocalypse to finish off Diablo's goons (Diablo being in the center of the room is usually unreachable :p) but the first time I finally succeeded without cheating was using Greatsword of Haste, which proved to be the most useful bonus to avoid getting knocked back... I also remember one time my warrior got swarmed by death knights and couldn't even move while getting bashed... The succubi running away and the stupid golem that only walked the same way as your character (and had the bad habit of opening doors leading to rooms full of monsters) was also spot on.

@Bancheis3 жыл бұрын
@@cocoonman It was like for a brief moment in history, people made games with their hearts, wanting to make something they themselves would want to play. When companies broke free from the corporate chain to develop games with love, only to become the future corporations they hated to begin with due to leadership changes. Sure they wanted to make money, but they actually cared about the product and the fanbase. They didn't see us back then as they do now, as blood bags they can bleed when they were thirsty. And over the decades, that thirst has become completely unquenchable. Expectations are high, standards are low, and quality is foregone in favor of a quick buck. No more risks making something new and exciting that builds a cult following or a dedicated fanbase. They only release calculated mathematical games designed with data aiming to appeal in some form to as many groups as possible, only to satisfy none of those groups and to manipulate whales into keeping them fed. Designed with data instead of with heart. Yeah... I feel like they can never truly understand it, even when putting it that way.

Still the best game in the series by a longshot. And man, what a video!

I'm sad he only did 7 episodes. I could easily see 10, 2 in the catacombs (which were entirely skipped despite having quite a few quests) and another in Hell with Lachdanan or the Warlord of Blood (the one boss which actually stumped me as a sorcerer). My only hope is if he goes back and covers Hellfire, but that seems unlikely since he's gotta do D3 and possibly D4 if it's out by then.

I can't remember when was the last time I enjoyed a video on KZbin so much, or anything else on the internet for that matter. Well done.

The bit where the warrior is following the succubus.. I FELT THAT. Always had to pin them down in corners or get lucky. Also yes golems and the warriors repair skill are useless.

I’m sad you didn’t add a scene with the towns folk, a corrupted well scene, and a catacombs scene. There’s so much potential with the drunk and the healer as well as the kid. That would have really completed the series!

Cain can be seen when the heroes first arrive dumping poison into the well (around 28seconds). There were more townsfolk scenes in Dioblol 2 so you eventually get that ^_^
