@@droideka1890 no it's painful because it was so good once! Heroes of the Dorm was such a cool collegiate competition. And Activision Blizzard discontinued it once they decided that Heroes of the storm wasn't the next big money franchise.

It really bothers me that a MOBA that was A. Willing to take risks with unique champion design (Abathur for example) B. Didn’t overemphasize arbitrary busy work (last hitting minions) and C. Was actually focused on helping your team rather than yourself (no difference in whether you got the kill on the enemy than if your ally got the last hit) didn’t catch on more.

Not to mention different maps with unique gimmicks. Sure, some were unorthodox, but it was better than playing the same 3 lane map every game like in most other MOBAs. Also forces people to pick different teams cuz each map has its own meta

well it had a good fanbase and community. but blizzard forced the competitive scene to hard. they wanted an E sport. and the moment they realised its not gonna happen they gave up. all they wanted was to chase leag. instead of actually going for what it was. a fun casual MOBA for friends.

Seeing the early Heroes of the Storm clips compared to later ones really shows how your style became less complex yet more polished over time. Jimmity Raynor also went through a few different designs as well but seems to have followed a trend of getting more derpy with every video he is in

Why people keep thinking microsoft gonna change things?! You people are naive. Microsoft buys out it's competitors, microsoft eventually become: A, a monopole or as strong as monopole. Which means nothing can threat it, and it can do whatever it likes. B, it will manipulate the market together with EA by fixing prices(It's illegal but it's hard to prove, and game industry regulators not that strong). The're not even bothering to remove ptr servers. while its been a year ago the last patch was and will be given anytime as long activition is active. You have hots and starcraft (starcraft still up today the biggest player base RTS) and they are just incompetent on how to make money and just totaly do nothing about those games, even though all they complain is making money is importand, though they can't seem to do it with a big player base in there hands. Instead there quite fan of harrasing woman that work for them and bullying away all the motivated workers that once had passion for their work.

@@filnias Tbh if they just keep it as a little side project why wouldnt they. Theres no need for it to be the super big moba. Give the ppl 3-4 heroes a year. add a map every now and then and let people have fun. No need for overcomplicated balancing. No need for advertisement. A small team could pull this off even if its just a show of good will. people still play this game. Ofc more casual then any other moba in existence, But thats also what HotS appeal is.
