Carburetor float seat removal. The easy way

A quick tip on removing float seats in carbs. It is the way I'd like to do it wen replacing the seats.

Cheers bonnie lad! Half the time you can leave the carb on the bike. Simply loosen the hose clips, turn off petrol, pull off petrol pipe and rotate the carb thru 90 degrees towards you with a bowl to catch the petrol. Then remove the float bowl to gain access to, and remove, the float retaining pin. Theres always one of the four float bowl screws that wont come off. In this case remove the 3 easy ones 1st then pull the opposite corner of the float bowl gently away from the carb and it'll "crack" the last screw.

Thanks I bought a defective carburetor and the fuel flow is very slow into the bowl I'll try this and run a wire through it

Normally in a full rebuild kit. Or look at the parts diagram for your bike
