I found something that relates to my birthday a 1960 Harley Davidson my birth year ,but the good part is the last 4 digits of the vin is my month and day . I've had it 42 years and have ridden it to 46 states and 3 countries.

If you send a request to DMV in Sacramento with the VIN number , they will send you a report with the name of the past 4 owners..that's often a good starting point...when searching for a car in the US...

I don’t think this is true…have you done it?

@@Carchaeology Yeah, I did it this past January for my 1966 Euro bug...I think I had to pay $5 for the document...I live in San Diego...they provided the past owners' names and dates of ownership...I wished they could share the cities where they purchased the vehicle but unfortunately they don't do that...if you need more info I can contact you through the Samba...just let me know...

I assume you had to provide proof of ownership?
@cosmikkid2 ай бұрын
@@Carchaeology I don't recall having to provide that...check DMV form INF 70 section 3...I believe you can request "vehicle history" and provide only the VIN number for reference...

@@Carchaeology You can find the form on line

There's nothing wrong with that quest!! I, too, have had the same desire to locate a GTO built on my bday. However, with GM products, the data plate only gives you the week it was built. Thankfully PHS documents can provide the 'execution' date(build date); unfortunately, that choice is roughly $100.00 a hit. At least Pontiac retained records thru the early 90s! Good luck in your search!!
