I've owned two white cars and spent well over a decade detailing them, this video is probably the only one I've seen where the guy knows what he is talking about. When people say to me "but white is so hard to keep clean", actually, no - there is no difference, all colours attract the same dirt :op. And as white reflects light better than black, it will *appear* cleaner for longer than a dark paint, so white paint wins! Depending on the level of tar spotting, you can use autoglym super resin polish instead of the clay bar as it both removes contaminants and protects at the same time. I usually end up using the clay bar on the rear end, and the polish cleans up the rest. Not convinced about snow foam, and be wary of using a pressure washer that close to alloys, it can force water under the rim lacquer and cause blistering. Nice vid.

I've been driving white cars for 16 years now, and the belief they are harder to keep clean is false. It's a bad myth. Black cars are the hardest to keep clean. The darker the color, the easier dirt shows up. The 2 white cars I have had were the same shade from the same manufacturers, and from a distance they always look clean after a rain.

@Car Cleaning Guru, Hi with all due respect, in the States we use something called Nu-Finish which is this bright orange bottle that can eliminate 2-3 extra steps from your cleaning. You wouldn't need the diamond white poorboys, nor the bees'wax and the other white liquid. People think it's cheap because it's been around since the 80s and it can be purchased at any auto shop, but even with white cars it never ceases to amaze me at how shiny, buffed, and sparkling clean it comes out each time. And of course, always wash and claybar FIRST before applying this last step!

Colored towels are a great idea. I actually color-code based on what surface that towel is allowed to touch: green for glass (as in, a "green light"), yellow for paint (which may brush up against the glass), and red for tires or the really grimy undersides of doors. This way, after I wash the towels, I can take an extra precaution of ensuring a towel that was used for dirt and grime won't ever touch the glass.
