@austin.27162 ай бұрын
Hahaha Naveen aside. The Tucson does have the value proposition sorted if you ask me. The options-price balance is very good. It’s a shame that their powertrains aren’t that good in terms of quality and reliability. If they can sort out their quality control, they have a true winner on their hands. They have improved significantly over time yes but still subpar because engine failures and other issues still appear to be present for a decent amount of cars they produce. I recently compared the passenger experience of a Camry Hybrid to a Sonata hybrid as I was overseas and using taxis. So yes both of these cars were taxis. They both had about 65,000km on them and the Camry Hybrid felt much smoother and didn’t make any noise that was abnormal or due to wear and tear. Sonata Hybrid just wouldn’t upshift so there was a constant vibration from the engine, got unpleasant very quickly. And the rear suspension was making noise already. Noise overall was about the same to my ears. There was no meaningful difference in that department. In terms of true build quality, they are not even on the same level. Before anyone says “bUt ThE TuNdRa eNgiNeS aRe bLoWiNg uP”- yes they are having issues but this can’t be used as evidence to say every other Toyota is gonna blow up. Same goes for Hyundai too. I’m not saying every single Hyundai has issues but my point is that there’s a bigger range of Hyundai’s having engine issues and other issues compared to Toyota. If you think I mean outright numbers, you’re wrong.

You can get a Rav4 Hybrid with basically every single feature the CRV Hybrid offers WITH AWD for 56-59 grand depending on which trim level you buy. And the trim levels I’m talking about are the XSE (smack bang in the middle and pretty much the same as the US spec XSE) and the Cruiser (keeps the matte finish on the black exterior sections and a real leather interior and a few other bells and whistles. The top spec Edge (Adventure equivalent) makes no sense to buy if you ask me. The Cruiser is the best equipped Rav4 here.
