I would also like to see some padding where your knees were dressed because I feel like this plastic even though it looks durable but it should be nice seeing some panting so that the Chevrolet Equinox would be on part like the Mercedes-Benz products.

thanks carconfecsions, after your video about the new 2025 equinox.. i went traded my cruze 2017, for an AWD LT, with some packages.. and omg it was heaven and earth difference.. this car feels bigger inside, its like driving a midsize truck.. speed is okay, i dont understand the numbers but this thing is fast if you step on it.. it easily reaches 125kph on the highway, leaving other behind.. interior is awesome, just wish they have a screensaver, as the screens are too big..

Great video. I need to know if anyone has been experiencing any weird smells coming through the vents on their brand new 2025 equinox? my wife purchased a brand new equinox 2025 about 3 months ago and every now and then for a brief few seconds, she would smell a fume like smell (best description we have so far) and then it goes away and its back to regular car smell. This only happens when the AC is on recirculating, temp medium and fan speed on medium. We brought it to the GM dealership and they replaced the cooling fan (mind u this is a brand new vehicle) which reduced the smell drastically but there are still faint smell every now and then. We don't know what we are inhaling and despite our efforts, the dealership still doesn't know what is causing the smell since they can't seem to replicate it so we are documenting everything to give them, since it is still under warranty. If anyone out there has just bought a chevy equinox LT 2025, please let me know if you have the same issue and what was the culprit and the fix please. This is driving us crazy. I know if this was a BMW and we were having these issues they would have probably done more for us.

I drive a 2020 mercedes metris for work and it has that odor that you refer to. I was reading that germs grow in the ac area. My 2018 equinox doesn't have that issue.

We had a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox Premier and it was a nice car, we were not impressed with the 2025 and purchased a new Toyota RAV4 Limited. We spent more but we got better.

Looks great in and out, but 170 horsepower won’t cut it, especially once you have passengers in it. Plus you can’t even tow anything with it. 800 or 1500 pounds? That’s literally nothing. Not even my pop up camper.

Ditto 100% We have a 2018 with the 2.0 T and over 85,000 miles. Not one problem with that car, and gets average 34 mpg on the highway, 28 city. Power is always available, braking is linear and smooth. Couldn't be happier with it. And most important my wife loves it.

I sat inside one of them myself. I wish Chevy offered a lighter colored interior ceiling. If felt cave-like. Not everyone likes that much darkness. Also, I'm on the taller side. When I turned off the camera rear view mirror and just used it like a normal mirror, the reflection was too low. I couldn't adjust it higher to see out of it. I had to lower my head. Even the salesman said he had similar issues in his personal Chevy vehicle. Please fix these two things, Chevy.

it wont beat the rav4, but i will take the equinox, just because its new.. i test drive both of them.. the equinox feels bigger inside and tech is newer, the software also is better, not glitchy.. in terms of speed, it can pass other cars in the highway, so no complain.. it will come down to pricing to some.. hopefully after 7-10 yrs, all cars would be EV by then..

I'm having this very same dilemma. CX 50 has a little less room in the back but it has a normally aspirated 2.5 and a little more HP. The 1.5 turbo has a poor reputation for premature turbo failure due to the oil passages being too small for the oil to flow when it is cold out. I like the dash in the Equinox better. The infotainment system is better in the Equinox because it's all touch screen.

@@MrLatinBeard Strangely enough, in the 1960s GM made a clutched turbo supercharger for locomotives. When the engine was running slower than the exhaust could push the impeller the centrifugal clutch would remain engaged and it would act as a supercharger. When the engine would be about 60% max throttle the turbo would overrun the clutch and it would freewheel like a turbo. this was for a two stroke diesel engine and it wasn't as reliable as a roots blower but an interesting idea.
