I had been looking at new cars for over a year. I was close to buying a CR-V EX when I saw the earlier Equinox launch video. I thought I'd better take one for a test drive and bought an RS just like this. Car Confections nailed it, but here are some additional comments. The Equinox allows you to toggle between AWD and 2-wheel drive mode. The physical controls are all over the place and inconsistently grouped. Low is a button on the steering wheel; AWD is off to the left; giant console knob for ride settings. That inconsistency carries over to the touch screen controls. Some options are available from the Controls "app", but others are under the Settings. For example, child locking the windows is in the controls app, but teen driving mode is under the Settings app. Why aren't they all together? Overall, super happy with this car. Very well equipped, technology leader and a good value. Engine and sound system are tradeoffs I'm able to live with. I think GM purposefully left those as growing room for future model years.

Traded in my wife’s 2024 Trax RS for a 2025 Equinox RS AWD and she couldn’t be happier. We both really enjoy the comfort and convenience it offers. I enjoy that you can switch between FWD and AWD for a family of 3 or even 4 I’d say this is a great SUV.

I've had the 18 and currently 22 Equinox and the radio sound has not been an issue. I just go into the radio setting and adjust things accordingly. Right out of the factory they set the radio sounds to a certain level. But if radio sound is a deal breaker. Then it's time to re-think what's your priority for buying a car. When it comes to the "get up and go" for power off the line. It's literally at the point of, do you want more torque or more horsepower. Some prefer torque over horsepower and vice versa. I've seen the LT in person and overall I'm impressed. Just wish they kept the 12v adaptor on the front console.

I love how cheap it is! Heated rear seats, ventilation seats, the tech. I would like a hybrid in the future. Even though I don’t get as much MPG I think the price makes up for it! ❤ I am waiting though to see the CX-50 hybrid!

I am the proud owmer of a 2019 Equinox LT, this new one is significantly better. While the 1.5 in my Equinox with 203 ft lb's of Torque has plenty of of pep for me, they need to bring back the 2.0 and offer some sort of hybrid powertrain. In China this same vehicle is offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. GM will offer plug-in's in 2027 why not now? GM needs to offer options.You two guys do a great job of reviewing vehicles.

if you're only going to buy a car based on the sound system. Just saying you might need to re-think car priorities. I've had a 2018 and 2022 Equinox and all I did was go into the radio settings and change the bass/treble levels and the balance.

for better sound, go to equalizer: bass = 5 clicks before max midrange = 5 clicks to the left (makes the voice better) trebble = 2 clicks before max fade/balancer = move a little north of center i just bought one, LT AWD, from a cruze goin to this, couldnt be happier, its roomier inside, feels like a truck.. AWD to make it a little faster from stop.. in the highway, once the turbo kicks in, it can zoom & pass everyone and goes 125kph in no time.. if you have complains about the little stuff, you can always go with honda and toyota.. we’ll be happier theres few of us on the road.. by the way, this car will tickle your butt if there iare people/moving cars nearby.. i dont understand the “auto hold” button on the left side 😅.. if you want a simple, not so too fast suv, go with this one, those fast SUVs can get you very close to accidents.. i recommend this to older people and those not a fan of zoomies driving.. what i like about it, i always look back at it, when i walk away..

I drove an Activ that was still in demo mode from the factory and was extremely impressed. I enjoyed the drive way more than the Forester and it had a little pep in it like a cx50

Great Review Guys! The Major issues with the 2025 Chevy Equinox is as follows: GM needs to replace the 1.5 Turbo with the 2.0 Turbo found in the Cadillac XT4. No need for the Shark Fin design element. Add the Grey and Tan (Maple Sugar) to all trim levels. Not a fan for the circular interior air vents and piano black. Hooded instrument screen and tablet style coming in the 2025 GMC Terrain sibling vehicle. The Center Pass through is a waste of space and should be used to bring back a traditional gear shifter and provide an sliding door above that pass through storage to protect prying eyes. Bose Stereo System is a MUST on all trims. Traditional Chrome trim and polished Aluminum 18 inch wheels for total ride comfort. These Low Profile tires are always on vehicles you see that have flat tires on the side of the road due to these huge potholes on all of our roadways.

I would purposely avoid the RS model due to the cheap black plastic trim overload, its higher price and the overly large noisier riding 19" wheels

It doesn't make this a bad car, or a reason someone couldn't aspire to own it. And, congrats to you on your alleged mid trim bmw. It would be like me popping up and saying that you cant dream of a bmw because audi or mercedes is better in my opinion. Let us think a little.

Can you adjust the treble and bass on the sound system? Adjusting it to more bass sometimes makes it sound much better.

No Hud and No lane keep assist(Super Cruise) are deal braker for me. No Hud is kind of acceptable.. but Lane Keep assist is really useful... cant understand GM Company...

The 2005 Chevrolet Equinox is Overall Best in its Class. The Panoramic Sunroof is A Must!* I purchased a Loaded 2025 Chevy Equinox RS AWD for my daughter to go back to College. That interior is absolutely Amazing, nothing compares to it in class. The only 2 things missing is a 2nd Stereo Option and maybe a 2.5. The Stero is excellent for my daughter, yet, an audiophile would want the Bose Option you get with the lesser Trailblazer. You can turn the Bass up, I did it for my daughter.

If you’re looking for speed when you are shopping for a small suv, why are you even looking at an equinox. Go with an Audi or jaguar. This would be like me saying. “Omg that Audi is just TOO FAST for an suv”.
