The dealership gave me a Taos as a loaner when my Atlas was being serviced and I was impressed. Great value for the money, great driving SUV, impressive performance. If I were in the market for a small SUV, this would be at the top of my list.
@victreebel17020 сағат бұрын
Even with the steaming garbage reliability? It's got loads more problems than even the average VW.

The Volkswagen Taos has some awesome features! It comes with a turbocharged engine, which gives it a nice balance of power and efficiency. The interior is pretty spacious for a compact SUV, and it has a lot of tech goodies like a digital cockpit, touchscreen infotainment system, and advanced safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.

I just finished watching your review of the VW Taos, and it was great as usual! I want to point out that I really like how you show what the headlights, signal, taillights and reverse lights look like rather than just explaining what they look like. Nice!!

One thing I've noticed since Dieselgate is that VW's actually deliver the MPG's cited on the Maroney sticker, unlike some other brands.
@palebeachbumКүн бұрын
I've always gotten at or better than the EPA-rated MPGs in every car I've ever owned. I can't say I've owned a VW though.

I almost went with the Taos in 2024, but the reliability rating was 2nd to worst of small/compact SUV's (in 2024) and the lack of availability of an auto rear hatch, so we went with CRV Hybrid. Hopefully reliability on Taos improves in 25'.

Got 40k miles on my 2022 now .. I do 100 mi a day for delivery Amazon and doordash. Also I put on 25,000 miles this year in the 120 the degree a Las Vegas summer heat. Only issue I had was that the engine light came on twice because of a issue with the vent valve. It was a very minor issue that basically took them a couple hours to replace each time.

Wrong decision the tucson and tucson hybrid is way better than crv. Crv is more expensive, has less features and a smaller screen 7inch is too small.
@TechjunkieroКүн бұрын
@@Integratedcraig yes it’s awful.
@IntegratedcraigКүн бұрын
@@AlexAlex-gs1xh CRV has been great- Tucson styling is a bit immature and Go-Bot-like, front end is awful, but I did like the back and the interior was super roomy- noisy on the road- we test drove everything in the segment- landed on Honda, reliability and 44 mpg- 😎
@IntegratedcraigКүн бұрын
@@BossInVegas I thought the Taos was most comfortable interior of everything I drove- really handsome looks- lots of convenience, but that JD Powers reliability score scared us off- we still love that VW charm-

I really liked my 2011 Tiguan with the 2.0 turbo. It was sleeper quick, and the Haldex AWD system is great. But both the electric power steering and turbo needed replacing at about 68K. Not sure if I'd buy another VW anything.

Thank you for the review. Debating the 2025 Taos with the Kia Seltos X-Line. Such a crowded segment, lol.
@palebeachbumКүн бұрын
Go with the Seltos. Much better warranty. Cheaper future repairs. Better reliability record.
@gregholman2930Күн бұрын
I'd definitely would suggest the TAOS, I drive one at work and I have to say I like it very much, the Seltos wouldn't even be on radar, heard negative things like lack of power, TAOS hands down!

Glad you enjoyed. On Saturday, we are going to countdown the top subcompact SUVs for 2025, so that video might have some information to help make your decision easier!

It's great VW got rid of the DCT, and added some more hp, but they made the front less attractive.
@BossInVegasКүн бұрын
The taillights on the original model are much nicer too. I like the DCT, drives more sporty

2025 and VW still uses the same typical Volkswagen ding for a welcome chime that they’ve been using since the late 90s

I don't know if it has to do with VW's financial situation, but they are updating their US products (Jetta, Taos) with old equipment that they reuse from older versions in Europe. The screen is not poorly integrated, but chances are 2017 will come and get it back.
