Thanks for the video, Sandro! Been anticipating this review. I finally managed to pick up Lift locally, and I've definitely liked it! I used it a few weeks ago on my car, foaming and letting it dwell for several minutes. It ate all of the filth off, from the Canadian winter - all the salt build-up and sand was pulled off the car and was trapped in the foam on the driveway. Only had to do a light hand wash afterwards with Reset! That said, the car is coated with CQuartz UK and CQuartz TiO2. Will definitely purchase more in the future.

Awesome review! Recently had my vehicle ceramic coated and have considered using Lift diluted and paired with Mega Foam for lubrication/clinging for touchless washes as to remove breaking down traffic film while the high suds remove those contaminants from the vehicle. Figured since it'll be topped with Eagle One's Wipe and Shine, the quick detailer will act as a sacrificial layer to the coating in case Lift does manage to break it down the next time it's washed. As for contact washes, will use that combo for presoak and Reset + Mega Foam for the contact wash to minimize chances of swirling. In theory, it makes sense to me; hopefully it works as well as I think it should.

This 1:10, 1:15 dilution ratio is just pot luck. It may foam loads but is it cleaning fully! I’m sure it does loosen dirt somewhat but what PIR does the product need to be fully effective!? - how much of the dirt and grime being removed is from the pressure from the pressure washer? Bilt Hamber AutoFoam needs a very low 4% PIR to be fully effective but that still equates to around 480ml of product in a 1 litre foam canon due to flow rates! V-Project UK’ has an excellent video on PIR! Well worth a watch ... I learnt so much from it

Been waiting for this one! Thanks for the review. Surprised you didn’t try it on your coated cars and include your thoughts on that. I dunno if it’s foolish but I was hoping that Lift could be a pre soak foam that made the wash step even safer and more effective for coated cars. I was looking at Lift and or one of Bilt Hambers two snow foams for this purpose. My suspicion is their new “sugar” based formula was designed for use with ceramic based protection. Since it seems to be compatible with their ceramic booster packet.

If you guys talking about BH Auto Foam then its different product than Lift. BHAF its strictly foam to clean car without removing any wax or sealant . Lift however its more decontamination foam which remove wax and at list make harm on your sealant if not remove it as well . Compare this two its not good idea at all .
@chavezcustomdetailing95403 жыл бұрын
@@gorgiomarconi well that’s typical if you have a wax or sealant that has been deteriorating because of real world abuse or cause of neglect. Any non ph balanced soap will strip any old waxes and sealants but what I’m interested in knowing between both of these products is how well it can clean a dirty hammerd car without protection. I don’t understand how these companies make a general recommendation of 1:10 in a foam lance. There is massive differences in pressure washer specs which will affect the outcome. PIR recommendation is very important, like Bilt Hamber.

I tried using Lift + Reset in a bucket and I think it did a very good job. But then it's very difficult to say how well it actually cleaned the cars paint because I get superb results with Reset alone. I wonder what's the most effective way to decontamination a cars exterior, as much as possible, using the bucket method (shampoo +?).
@CarCraftAutoDetailing2 жыл бұрын
There’s always a balance that needs to be met as going too aggressive all the time can lead to paint and trim deterioration over time, so usually the least aggressive method that works is the best corse of action and sometimes that just a simple car was soap but other times it can be more aggressive acid or alkaline based cleaners used in conjunction.

@CarCraftAutoDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Maybe a similar scent but still different. Yes I did try quite a few mixes in the foam lance and it works fine with Reset mixed in. I would use it as frequently as I needed on a ceramic coated car, it just that if you have a top coat sealant it make break that down, which is why I’d recommend using it just before you reapply something like Reload. @CarCraftAutoDetailing3 жыл бұрын
The more hydrophobic your paint is the easier it will be to dry and tend to streak less because there’s less standing water to deal with. But a final wipe with a quick detailer and a couple of general microfibre cloth should sort out any streaks in the finish.

Great video and In depth explanation. Especially the ph test, however I saw another video of someone who tested the ph level once it was on the panel and it came up ph neutral. So is the product actually alkaline on the panel and is it really doing anything more than what reset does?
@CarCraftAutoDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, and chemicals will react with whatever they come in contact with, so alkaline’s can be neutralised with acids and vice versa, but just because a chemical neutralises it doesn’t mean it hasn’t had an effect or done it’s job. A lot of information we get about certain chemicals is very misleading, so I don’t try to base my conclusions on that, I try to stick to what I’m best at which is evaluating results rather than chemistry.

@CarCraftAutoDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Lift is a strong alkaline based decontamination pre-soak foam used at the start of a more intensive car wash and decontamination process to start breaking down and removing tough but general dirt and grime, while Tr.ix is a stray on chemical solution used to more specifically tackle more stubborn iron and tar particles, dissolve and remove them. Tr.ix is also a very effective wheel cleaner that can tackle extremely bad and neglected wheels, though it should only be used when necessary as it is a more aggressive chemical than most.

@Brian_N3 жыл бұрын
Also interested in your thoughts how it would be for coated cars.
@CarCraftAutoDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Every detergent or chemical you use will effect a coatings longevity to some degree, but not using these chemicals can actually degrade a coating even more by not removing certain environmental contamination that can break down your coating even quicker. I know it’s probably not the answer you’re after, but you have to find a balance based on your specific environment and conditions. If your car is garaged, regularly washed and you don’t live in a harsh environment, then I would only use it a couple of times a year. But if your car is always parked outside, used every day, maybe not washed every week and you’re in a harsher environment, you may want to use it monthly or even fortnightly to remove that contamination that will breakdown your ceramic coating faster. Almost everything I do in detailing is about using the least aggressive method that works, so if you don’t need it, don’t use it, and if you do need it don’t be afraid to use it as often as you need to on a coated car.

Does Carpro lift removes wax? I am using Gyeon Foam at the moment but why not to try something else, all tho its all same.. I use Carpro reset shampoo because it does not remove wax.

It will start to break down a wax and potentially remove it, but not always, it just depends on the wax and how well and how long ago it was applied.
