BUY TICKETS TO MY SHOW: parlourofdeceptions.com ONLINE COURSE ON CARD MAGIC: cardmagic101.com PRIVATE EVENTS AND LESSONS: danielroymagic.com/booking SIGN UP FOR MY NEWSLETTER: danielroymagic.com/newsletter This is kind of a strange video, in part inspired by this video from Ricky Jay: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4jZg6KojZV-nrM. I hope it's a) relaxing b) impressive c) both of those, and hopefully not d) none of the above. CREDITS: The opening all-at-once suit production comes from Twelve the Hard Way published by Darwin Ortiz in Lessons in Card Mastery (which incorporates a riffle shuffle production by Steve Freeman). The predecessor to this idea is a suit production by Ben Earl on his DVD set Past Midnight. The modern incarnation of the one-at-a-time suit production comes from Ricky Jay, who apparently found inspiration in one of Hofzinser's original routines. Pepe Carroll and Denis Behr have also made significant contributions in this area. Some of the card production sequences come from Darwin's Nine-Card Location published in Darwin Ortiz at the Card Table. The final re-ordering of the spades comes from God of Gamblers published by Darwin Ortiz in Cardshark and from The Return of the Ultimate Card Shark in Down Under Deals by Andrew Wimhurst. If I’ve missed any references, the fault is my own, so please let me know!

It's all three of A, B, & C. Well done, Daniel, taking inspiration from and paying homage to Ricky Jay in such a skilful way.

This is just a whole other level. I thought it was just ping to be you shuffling and doing flourishes. But then you do the perfect shuffles and controls from your 10 levels of magic video. And probably more. I really like your magic. Have you done any videos on how to do tricks on people who try and ruin the trick or who are just way too good at seeing what you’re doing? Because I just result to accepting when I flash or when someone knows how I did my trick or my more “go to” is a self working trick.
@DanielRoyMagic4 жыл бұрын
@@jumpingaxe3373 that’s actually a really interesting video topic, I had not thought of that. So thank you! So maybe I’ll make a video about audience management, what to do if a trick goes wrong, etc.
@jumpingaxe33734 жыл бұрын
@@DanielRoyMagic that sounds great thanks. I just really dislike when people try to ruin tricks.

I think this is great you could make some seriously compelling ASMR content. Go for longer duration (15-30m) with more repetition and tapping and such and it’d be a hit! I think it would also be really cool for you to deal a couple of rigged heads up holdem hands where the viewer always wins haha it’s awesome unique ASMR content!!

A lot of young and old magicians can learn so much from watching Daniel Roy....I was a craps dealer in Nevada for 29 years. In craps dealing class you are taught to get the most accomplished with the least amount of movement. Daniel is the epitome of that philosophy.

Fantastic. Not only do you master to put all - as in ALL - cards on the table in a correct follow, but you manage to put sound on it at the same time. This is not only magic - this is ART!

Thanks! Took a while to get my audio set up working well enough to make this video, but basically, there’s a boom mic (sennheiser ME66) right above the cards, just offscreen. That’s how I was able to get nice sound.

When I was younger, at least 3-4 hours, sometimes up to 8-12 hours a day. What is your preferred card deck?
@DanielRoyMagic4 жыл бұрын
The one in the video! I’ve always loved the Tally-Ho fan back design, especially in blue. Probably because the first magic book I ever bought was something like “77 Self Working Card Tricks” by Karl Fulves, and those are the cards pictured on the cover. Most of the time, I just use standard bicycle cards.
