People mostly take even Amex platinum charge card for the exclusivity factor, though it is not as exclusive as centurion. But 60k plus tax is also quite a high fee. I was surprised to know that Amex has given the centurion to 700 people in India. I thought that only about 200 people have this card in India.

I travel a lot and use the Amex Lounge. there is a dedicated space for Centurian customers in lounge. I once asked how many Centurian customers come - and they said 20 ppl a week.

I am ex-employee of Amex and worked in this department. Few information you gave is correct and few are incorrect. Centurian card does not target people looking for discount or retrun on card but for exclusivity. Therefore discount purchagse is etc does not matter here much. One thing you missed about the private jet booking and experiences.

All investments have their individual risks. FD mai bhi credit risk hota hai. What matters is your gross NPAs. Which for Per Annum I believe is less than 1%.

Our source is someone in the higher ups at Amex India. As per him out of 14 lakh odd active cards, 90-100K are Amex Platinum, and 700-800 customers have Centurion.
