Probably one of Chris's best solos yet. Soulful, precise, vocal, great fuzz tone, in tune, controlled yet energetic and plays to the song. I love it! Congrats Chris! You're trully an inspiration for guitar players!

I have to agree with comments from others that this might be the best solo from Chris in terms of musicality - a real contribution to the song that elevates it to the next level ready for the last chorus to truly ‘sing’ at the end. This guys voice pulls the band away from anything blues rock, indie or Americana and adds a real aor/yacht rock vibe (it used to be termed 'transatlantic' and I like that). Nobody else in this century sounds like this - that's no derogatory jibe - it's a compliment. The states will play this, it's the soundtrack to a hire car journey from a rental in San Francisco that winds up in Vegas where you either marry your childhood sweetheart or throw away your life savings in one hot night..😅

Although I love the other 2 songs already, this one takes the cake 🥰 The flashes of light such as in 03:09 were a nice touch (my eyes went 👀and I went "o0o0o0oh"). My favourite guitar solo in the new EP, Tom's high notes 🔥, and Tay's vocal accompaniment was ❤ Missing Gregg on the keys somehow hehe.

This is my new favorite Cardinal Black tune. There's a lot to love here, but a couple things stick out to me. Toms voice as usual is wonderfully emotive and just awesome. I like the use of the line "It's you I want" It "Ties" the song to Tied Up in Blue, like it's an ongoing story of a difficult relationship. Under the vocals though the awesome Chris Buck is emphasizing the emotional undertones of the song. After the soulful lament of the first solo, the tone gets gritty, it feels like its echoing the frustration in the relationship. It builds till that Revstar comes back in growling and spitting the second solo. Thems fightin tones son. The lyrics don't return for a new verse just the chorus repeating the declaration "It's you I want" lets you know that fight isn't a bad thing. It's about fighting to make the relationship work. I think I saw a few comments on the Fuzz tone, but i think I can hear that ThorpyFX Electric Lighting turned all the way up making some of that awesome tone.
