Coheed and Cambria have been around since 1995. They have released a lot of wonderful records, the newest one being "The Color Before The Sun". We met them on a wonderful day in Cologne, Germany. This song is called "You Got Spirit, Kid".

Cardinal Sessions was founded in the summer of 2010. They challenge the classic music video and try to replace impersonal footage with immediate and emotional snapshots.
Bands from all over the world with their different genres present their songs reduced to the essence of the musical spectrum - only vocals and unplugged instruments. Due to the spontaneous live-aspect and the approach to record every song without any additional rehearsal, songs emerge that often sound significantly different to their album versions.
We film on locations that the musicians mostly choose by themselves: remote places, frequented streets, parks, woods, fields, bars; nothing is impossible. We have accomplished our goal if the location fits well to the background of the music we and the artists want to present. But our most important purpose is that there are no borders: we film everything that we like, no matter how popular, famous or also unknown a band might be. It is still important for us to support local talents and it will always stay part of our concept.
The Cardinal Sessions team can also be booked: for example to film short documentaries of album recordings, studio recordings or live concert moments that you want to capture.

This is why I think that Coheed & Cambria are probably the best band in the world currently. Whether the song is played in a library, a corridor, in an album and mastered, in a radio studio, etc they sound good! the last band I seen doing this was Led Zeppelin. I mean this version is unplugged , outdoor and it sounds (comparing the quality of the recording) better than about 90% of recordings by other bands. This is what I call quality! Awesome!

I know you mean to just get the reactions of the judges and to show them hes literally the best singer on this earth. However in order to appear on those shows hed have to sign a contract that would make him a slave to them and could only work for them. Hed end up having to sing pop songs till the end of time lol

as a drummer fan, and fan of what i do know of this band (i dont know a whole lot but i liked to check out their videos and like what i know so far. i just don't have all their music or know like all bout them but i have noticed is this drummer. he is fukn so fun to watch and he just slays the drums. great band! drummer kills every time and yes i agree he plays the shakers with so much soul. he was the first thing i notice when i first heard of these guys years ago. ok maybe 2nd. i noticed singers hair first lol.

The song is about his posturing and ego, exposed by his theory about how he wanted van halen and their fan base to retreat underground before a massive civil war and racial unrest happened , and once the black ppl had taken over van halen thought they would ascend back back to the surface to rule the world due to his tasty licks

It's not the fact that it's mainstream, it's the fact that the lyrics are watered down as well as the progression of the band. I know Claudio said it once before that they like to change things up with almost every new album but, this is going back to almost every pop tone on their previous album. Just saying that the chord progression on almost all the new songs are very generic and do not make me want to spend another dime on their material as well as the time to learn to like it.
