What does it mean to receive a monthly benefit? It’s a little confusing, is this similar to a pension for life when retiring from federal government service?

Hello! TCDRS provides their retirees with fixed benefit payments for their entire life. A “fixed benefit payment” means that the payment amount you receive in retirement will remain the same over your lifetime.
