Man I would hate to put my family in a group home. I worked in many, and I tried, I did the best I could by them. But management in these agencies are just horrible. Like everything in this country, it’s all about the money. The cars they drive were unbelievable, their houses. All on the backs of developmentally disabled. It would be one thing if they were in the least bit interested in their well being and happiness. I loved the work but I just can’t with the agencies. It was horrible

Sad that resources are not available. What happens after parents die? It's terrifying

It's never occurred to me that parents of people with down syndrome often hope to outlive their children, just so that their children are never left alone. God bless him and his wonderful sister and all caregivers. I knew a number of DS children when I was growing up (some of the purest and kindest souls I've ever met), but nowadays because of the normalization of abortion on demand, I don't think I've seen a single person with DS in many, many years.

Kind of like me I was born with the gift of down syndrome for 37 years I've been suffering with dementia Ben fruit so many surgeries like pacemaker removes a heart infection but instead I've been through worse but I am very thankful God took it all away amen Lord. Until this day I still pray for everyone who has the same ability like me.

Wonderful sister to take care of her brother. My youngest son has down syndrome. He’s the baby brother of 3 sisters, 2 brothers and a huge supportive and loving ohana. I know when his dad and I leave this earth, he’ll be okay. Bless this family. ❤❤
