The 1.9 puts out more power than the 2.5 from the previous model.
@MarvHLP

@emitt94 No, it doesn't! The previous 2.2 stranded ford engine has a lot more power and speed! The 1.9 standard is a downgrade for this pickup. And don't get me starred on the 1.9 automatic! But on thing I can say it is very fuel efficient! I did 590km with a little under half a tank!

I think they should have gone further to make this a true entry level model. There are lots of people who use it on sealed roads only and never tow but want to blend in on a construction site. Like, removing the 4wd system but keep the ride height, adding a 5 speed manual option, remove bedliner, make rear windows manual, use steel wheels. I think all that would bring the price down by at least 5k, maybe more.
@lambirging

in Thailand (which is where this BT50 is built) have the 3 entry level which is 1.9l single cab with steelies wheels mated with 6 speed manual transmission , as for the double cab have option with both automatic and manual transmission option.

The 1.9 liter engine is the only choice in the EU because it passes the euro6 regulations. But we don't get the Mazda we only get the Isuzu.

Honestly for hill descent, it's preferable to use low range and 1st or 2nd gear depending on the steepness.
@jerrymyahzcat
@jerrymyahzcat 2 жыл бұрын
I choose my gear (sometimes) but love HDC as it can modulate the brakes on each wheel individually which a driver cannot do. With the brake pedal and gears you cannot control individual wheel braking. HDC does a far better job than any human can do.

The rear lights are not halogen. They are just incandescent. Halogen is quite different and is what they use in headlights (when not LED or Xenon etc) and are very bright compared to incandescent. The door test should be consistent across all vehicles and be done with the windows closed (like you normally do). With an open window it changes the internal pressure when the door is shut.

hello, can you re-review the triton especially the traction control test? To be honest this 1.9 l engine is kinda ok if you using it for daily and mud off roading, oh to me its power feels like toyota hilux 2.4 but with good fuel consumtion. the fuel efficiency is the main salepoint here,in my country achieveving 1000km milage per fuel tank is possible in stock and around 800-900km is possible in 31inch mt tires with 250kg load in the tub.

Thank you for this! I was tempted by the 1.9 litre 4x2 model here, purely because of price advantages - after driving them both, i decided to put out the extra to get the 4x4. But i would've loved seeing this video a few weeks ago when i was desperately trying to make up my mind 😂

Great choice! I drove the 4x4 1.9L on Saturday and loved it! It’ll do me nicely getting into deer & trout country…. That 1L saving per 100kms sure will add up over a year or so, especially when diesel hits $3 or more the way we are going of late 🙄

Good review. Why are you still using high range for hill descent? And is there a benchmark vehicle for comparing this feature? Most vehicles seem to go too fast but maybe all of them would work well in low range. I'm sure many viewers would wonder the same. Cheers Paul.

Hi, I would like to seek some advice from the experts here. I have the 1.9L BT-50 2022. However, my kids have been complaining that they feel like vomiting every-time we go on long rides on highways. Is there a quick an easy fix improve the ride? I saw some youtube mentioning to downsize from the stock 17" to 16" wheels for thicker tires. Will this help? or should I look into upgrading the suspensions? I don't do much heavy lifting, it's more of a lifestyle utility vehicle for my family to go occasional camping. Hope to hear some advice here. Thank you in advance.

So weird to see a physical key on a car in 2022 😂 Surely it would be a slug with nearly 1.2T in the tray. Really needs to be a bare bones entry level with this engine. At this price point, you'd just go with the bigger engine

@@ardenlester3877 your worried about this new smaller engine whilst comparing it to a Chinese made Ute, from a brand with a known track record (also going bankrupt and now rebranding itself) of being complete junk plus a tiny dealer network and limited amount of available parts......
@ardenlester3877
@ardenlester3877 2 жыл бұрын
@@calvinbrillus6507 I'm not worried about this smaller engine at all. And I don't believe GWM ever went bankrupt. They did pull out of Australia but have returned bigger and stronger which a bunch of other companies have done in the past. I no way am I campaigning for the GWM or LDV or any other budget ute. I was merely asking how this compares to those vehicles for less money. The biggest problem reported with the budget utes was power compared to the more powerful versions of competitor utes. Now that power is on an even playing field with vehicles such as this BT50 what car makes more sense?
@spooner0007
@spooner0007 2 жыл бұрын
@@ardenlester3877 I looked at the GWM idea based on price. Did you know that you can't even buy a factory approved Bull Bar for one ? In fact you can't buy any at all , other than modifying another type to fit (And that doesn't mean it will work) I guess it's a non issue for city people , but it made me walk away , straight away. Great Wall were junk when they 1st were invented and brought to our shores . Today they have been re invented marketing wise but now classed as Glam Junk.

7:15 reviewers often get the USB plug type wrong, or mischaracterize what it is. USB-A is the small plug with the two little retention tabs, and has clear top and bottom sides. USB-C, ie the newer type, has no retention tabs on the plug, and is the same top and bottom, therefore it doesn't matter which way 'round you plug it in. These should not be confused with a standard USB port, like what this pickup has. Many vehicles use standard ports like this, so that a flash-drive with music, navigation files etc, can be plugged in. Alternatively, you can also plug in your phone via a standard USB-A, USB-C, or Apple cord, which your device would have come with. If vehicles have actual USB-A or USB-C plugs, as some do, special cords for needed to plug in your device, such as a USB-C - to - USB-C cord. Moral of the story, nothing is wrong with a standard USB port. It is the most versatile type to put in a vehicle, since every type of device can be plugged in without the need for special cords or adaptors.
