I like your idea to glue a 2x4 into the sheet. Very smart. Thank you.

Why didn't you use a pair 2x4 vertically ? I would think that would support weight better and less on exterior sheeting... I like that push bar idea! When clamps won't work..😁. Excellent!

Well I wanted to use as little lumber as possible. More wood/bracing = less insulation in the wall cavity. Your method would work great otherwise and likely be usable immediately. I believe once my bracing is secured to the osb wall paneling which will be secured to the trailer frame, it will be plenty strong. Ideally I would have welded in some square tube but sadly I don't possess a welder or the necessary skills at this time 😢

Consider pocket screws from the wood backing into the aluminum studs.

That’s not a horrible idea…I hadn’t considered that. I’m not sure it’s necessary once the wall paneling is back up and bridging the studs but it couldn’t hurt!

Recpro.com www.recpro.com/rv-ladders/ I did end up getting one of the their ladders and I plan to eventually install it on the front of the trailer, so stay tuned for that.
