Great work. Can you explain cable system and what track system and bed frame you used? Hardest part to my upcoming Moto cargo trailer build. Happy jac and others way to expensive.
@WildSchneiderOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Yeah of course! I totally understand the cost issue. The bed frame is just 2x4s and the rails are simply a split piece of wood mounted to the walls on the inside of the wheels which are mounted on the bed frame to keep it from swinging. They act as guides for the bed. The pulleys are mounted to the wall and the bed frame and all connect at a single point for the cable to be pulled on which I have mounted to a hand crank winch underneath the back of the bed so I can crank it up and down as needed. It’s very simple and just thrown together so it would stay stable and not move around yet still be able to be moved up and down. Feel free to reach out should you have anymore questions. Always happy to help.

Just found your site a while ago. Looking forward to going through all your videos. In this video you show your Powerhouse. You have a hose running from the battery. Is that to exhaust it to the outside, and if so where does it exit and did you screen it off? I’ve been told the battery only needs to be exhausted when it’s charging. I plan to manually charge mine periodically.
@WildSchneiderOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for finding me! I just vent it because I am hooked up to power in the winter to charge the battery and I always have the solar on so it just vents outside and I do not have it screened.

Thank you so much. The countertop was my wife’s idea! We wanted it to look like marble (but staying on a budget) we went with the paint kit. They have all sorts of options. Thanks so much for the support!!!!

Did you use any store-bought cabinets in your build or did you build from scratch? If so which ones did you buy from the big box store? Just curious… I’m not the best cabinet maker and just trying to figure out ideas for cabinets
@WildSchneiderOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
The only cabinet I bought was the one that the solar and battery stuff is in. Every other cabinet was made on my table saw and with a hole jig. I just looked up an easy cabinet building video on KZbin and that’s how I did the cabinets. They weren’t as hard as I thought. If I can give some advice. Measure everything at least three times. Saves yourself a lot of headache when something is wrong

So glad to hear you guys are building one too! It is a great investment and a fun project. It’s a different kind of joy you feel when you use it for the first time since you built it yourself. You will have to let me know how your build ends up! Best of luck with the plumbing. I think that was the hardest part of this entire build for me was getting it all correct.

Coming along nicely! What size shower pan?
@WildSchneiderOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
The shower pan is a 24x36 tub pan for RVs. I think I got it off of eBay from a manufacturer. It actually works great. We have used it twice already

Nice build. What material did you use for the ceiling?
@WildSchneiderOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the kind words! The ceiling is sheets of 1/4 inch underlayment board. It’s painted white to make it not look like plywood.

@WildSchneiderOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! It is an 8.5 x 20 with a 2 ft v-nose extension on it. If you go to my channel under playlists the first video I uploaded was a walkthrough of the empty trailer when it was delivered. I think that has some more information on it. Thank you again for your support!

@@WildSchneiderOutdoors will do! We are currently on the market for a 7x16 and the layout we have came up with is very similar to yours! Lol
@WildSchneiderOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
@@mariochingon3842 that is also a very good sized trailer. I went a little larger as we move around a lot and I wanted to be able to still utilize the cargo space in the trailer while we moved but could still sleep in it. I am not sponsored in anyway but I recommend looking at Merica cargo trailers out of Georgia. They are very well priced and allow complete customization at a very affordable rate to help save time and money on your build as far as windows and framing goes. Best of luck to you!
