I was raised on ‘67 Galaxies, (to this day i do not drink-sleeping in one of those Galaxies, dad letting me keep the keys to start it up for heat, trademark glass pack crackling). After detonating the one he detuned, (-390+351M) swapping it out for another 351 in freezing January weather, needing every frickin tool in our inventory, i bailed for a ‘71 Nova, (way less tools, also lacking in Door Closing Quality). I recall cleaning that same XL, discovering a Tape Deck, lol, which was super flush, hidden in plain sight, (he had a aftermarket Tape Deck at the bottom dash-top of the console so prior to cleaning it as a kid, dad never used it instead opting for the higher end unit…. Galaxie interiors RULE! Those crank vent windows WERE GENERATION-X AIR CONDITIONING kiddos, but one of his white interior bench seat Galaxies had a under dash aftermarket A/C units which was A ONE OFF, even with the 429 he installed, purring like a kitten, (this here ‘67 cemented in my head as a 7 year old-who WAS ALSO MADE IN ‘67). He always installed dual exhaust with glass packs which I will testify made a very unique sound, arguably the best IMHO. In ‘84 I went and looked at a 7 Litre, 428/4-Speed XL, black with red bucket seat interior with a very long shifter. It was in the Auto Trader for $3,500 and the very nice original owner wouldn’t accept the $2,500 I offered, but was kind and not at all scoffing so that’s one I fondly missed out on… Last thing: Dad owned a Auto Body/Radiator Shop business, ALWAYS PAINTING his ‘67’s in “Yellow Gold” which he said was a factory hue… “Firestone 721’s” on Chrysler Chrome rims were also on several, (memory of a 115-117 mph blast on the way home from a All Night Bowling Party with 5 other classmates, one a popular Senior Football Star who’s fingers were firmly gripping the black XL bucket seat material-4 wheel drum brakes, turning like a large boat, my hands ever so gently trying not to oversteer, GOD ALMIGHTY OUR CO-PILOT as I knew I was close to ending all of our lives that moment, trying to be “COOL”). Yes, I AM THE LUCKIEST SOAB YOU WILL EVER HAVE MET! Oh, BTW, Heater Core replacements SUCK!!! I did later own a 390 LTD with the curved quarter window. Time to count my blessings…🫡🙏🏻🇺🇸

Sorry to bust your bubble, but there is no such thing as a factory Hurst 4 speed shifter in a 67 Ford Galaxie. That is most likely a aftermarket shifter

That exhaust system sounded just right. I drive that route often. That's why I knew where you were.

A four speed manual was available in 67 on the Galaxie. Not sure if it was a Hurst shifter though.

Very nice automobile. I remember them well. Nothing like a Ford 4 speed to get the blood flowing. Too bad the narrator ( driver) doesn't know crap about classic cars & most definitely shouldn't be behind the wheel of this girl. BTW, be careful son, stay on your side of that double yellow.

Big ford's like that with a 4 speed are rare as hens teeth.

Let the old man drive it like he would have back in the day Instead of you just riding around in it like it’s fragile and you don’t want to break it

I call this more of a "muscle boat". A big floaty barge of a car with a manual and can hurt feelings.

Maybe if you actually had turned your signal on they’d of gave you a break and known you were trying to get on the road
