I have driven the ‘25 Crown Signia Limited for about a month now. It comes with a “digital key”. I love how quiet the inside cabin is. Back seat is comfortable. The full time AWD is a plus, normal and sport mode feels like you’re driving a V6. My only complaint is the manual steering column. Fuel is very efficient in City around 40MPG and Hwy is around 35-38MPG.

On paper it appears to have a smidge more HP and although the Venza's towing capacity is listed as zero, in actuality it is the same as the RAV4 hybrid. That being said no one's buying a Toyota hybrid for its towing capacity. Honestly I would rather have the faux leather seats due to their longevity, durability and ease of maintenance over actual leather. Bottom line: I'm just not seeing enough of a benefit to tempt me to trade in my Venza or my RAV4 hybrid. TOYOTA HYBRIDS RULE

I can’t wait to see and drive one. I will soon be in the market for a replacement for my 2018 Honda CR-V. I have never been a huge fan of a hybrid vehicle but admittedly I haven’t driven one in quite a while. I do know that the design of Toyota’s hybrid system is superior to Honda’s. When I was working we had loaner vehicles. We had a 2005 Prius and a 2004 Civic hybrid. My employer eventually sold the Honda to his daughter. As the vehicle aged the battery pack required replacement. We did the work in our shop and the cost of the battery was about half the value of the vehicle. At least in those years when the battery pack ages the vehicle becomes unusable. The Prius hybrid system would continue to function long after the battery began to fail.

I am considering purchasing a Crown Signia because of the towing capacity and the Toyota hybrid powertrain. I have a jet ski we tow every summer and I don't want to purchase a massive 3 row SUV or truck to do so. There's not a lot of 2 row SUVs that offer some towing capacity, an elevated interior and a hybrid powertrain. 2700 lb. towing capacity is a much more capable maximum than the RAV4 offers. I considered a Mazda CX-70 but it's essentially a CX-90 minus the 3rd row. To top it off I think the Signia is a stylish, unique looking vehicle.
@marioguisado23225 ай бұрын
Same boat as you. The CX70 is too big. The RAV4 isn’t as nice on the inside and the Lexus does nothing for me. So left with this because it has a mix of luxury, big but not huge and the fuel economy of a hybrid. Who knows might just end up with a Land Cruiser.

The premium Crown line is filling the gap between the upper mass-market Toyota and the entry luxury Lexus, the only real competitor being the premium Mazda (that has the advantages of handling and design, but it misses on the hybrid system - soon to be fixed, with the help of its minority shareholder, Toyota).

While Signia is nice, it looks more of a hatchback than SUV. IMO, for a $60K vehicle it should’ve been the entry level Lexus over the UXH for a slightly lower pricing. It’s too expensive for a Toyota given it’s only a 5-passenger and its size. If it’s any indication, look at the Crown sedan launched in 2023 which didn’t sell in huge volumes same with Venza (now gone). To make it worse, this is more expensive than the prev 2 models - so this Signia is a niche vehicle. Folks looking for more comfort, nicer materials and lower NVH, with a starting price tag of $60K will gravitate towards a Lexus. Unfortunately, badge matters to folks paying those higher prices! This won’t sell in huge volumes and you will only be paying a premium for exclusivity or rarity like the Venza over the RAV4 which is impractical! Not a Toyota hater here just not impressed by this new model!

I have watched a number of the Signia review and this is the only one that discuss how the Signia is compared to the RAV4 and the NX350h. Also, none of the other reviews consider the type of buyers for the Signia vs RAV4 or the NX350h. Signia is not a SUV but a wagon, it is the longest vehicle (194,1 in) among the RAV4 (180.9 in), NX350h (183.5 in) and Venza (186.6 in). It is almost as long as the Highlander (194.9 in). The buyers for the RAV 4 or Venza will not likely consider the Signia because it is a long wagon rather than a SUV, not to mention the bigger $ difference between the RAV4 and Signia vs the RAV 4and Venza. The NX350h buyers are not likely to consider the Signia because of its price and size (it is a foot longer). Will a RAV4 hybrid or NX350h buyer cross shop the Signia, not likely. I placed an order for a 2024 Venza Limited early in January this year because it makes sense to me to go for a Venza Limited instead of a RAV4 Limited hybrid, but definitely NOT a much bigger, more expensive and a wagon rather than SUV Signia. I look forward to your Signia, NX350h comparison and conclusion.

Why are they using the bi-polar Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery and not the lithium ion?

SUV? Looks like a station wagon to me. Even a CUV is a bit of a stretch. I like the car a lot, but it's not cheap. IMHO

Not a bad vehicle at all but with that price tag? you might as well just buy a Lexus.

This is the vehicle you’ll be able to buy from an older retired person who cannot longer drive, and not from the stealership.

Let's face it: this was supposed to be the real new Venza model that had been discontinued years ago.

It's as big as RX not NX.

I put money down on a Toyota Crown SIgnia Limited and await it to show up. I hope it has what I need, or I will be heading back to Cadillac to burn my money.

US market is graveyard of wagons. Government agency classified this new Signia as a wagon. Why so many KZbinrs introduce it as SUV? Did Toyota paid you to do that? So they can blind people?
@vadskar645 ай бұрын
I think venza will be back 3rd time around. No compelling reasons to buy signia. Venza had value proposition for potential Lexus buyers. This car has really nothing. Lexus will win each time in this price range hands down. Nobody buys this kind of car to tow, or to drive around 6 feet long tree logs. You have 4 runner or excellent Toyota trucks for those. Remember my words - insignia will be a total failure. They had to continue with venza, it was excellent car for 6k!!! Less for the top trim. Venzas are flying off dealership lots when they have them.

I agree. I cross shop the Venza Limited and NX350h. In the end I ordered one in the January and it should be arriving in July. I am with you. Venza offers a much more in terms of price and features.
@vadskar645 ай бұрын
@@ohcanadaeh you will not be disappointed! The limited (46k)has the same worth of features as a top nx300h for 58k. And pretty much the same ride with more trunk space.
@vadskar645 ай бұрын
@@ohcanadaeh I think they killed the venza/harrier line because it was eating into nx300 sales. Thats my theory. I don’t buy their “it was a slow seller”. Dealers couldn’t get enough of them. That’s what was slowing the sales numbers. Not desirability. Everywhere else the harrier(venza) is a successful mega seller suv.
@ohcanadaeh5 ай бұрын
@@vadskar64 I think you are right. It is definitely eating into the sales of the NX350h and it is the better SUV to buy as long as you do not care about the badge. Venza is hard to come by and you never see them sitting on the dealer's lot waiting for buyer. There are only a limited of number of Venza shipped to North America every year. The Harrier is a big seller in Asia for Toyota and it will continue to be available beyond 2024.

In this price range, I would go for Audi A5 or A4 Allroad, or wait for new 2025 A5. Turbo engine, No CVT!!!

Looks way better than that ugly Rav4, even the newer Corolla Cross looks better.

I love Toyota/Lexus, but the 2025 Crown Signia is Ugly, especially in grey! Plus, the front end looks cheap.
@seethingsclearlyawaken34245 ай бұрын
No, the Signia is not the best SUV one can buy. Why? It's too big and long. It won't fit in most two-car garages! My 2024 Venza fits, but this Signia, based on the first generation VENZA, would not fit! UGLY! Toyota dropped the excellent 2024 Venza for this ugly Signa? How stupid!
@floridaoutdooradventures89815 ай бұрын
For 45K, you will be better off by purchasing a 2023 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 V6, NOT the new one with that crappy V4 Turbo engine! Tacoma will give you more for your money without all that complicated hybrid technology that can will cost you a fortune to get it fixed
