I bought a cx50 hybrid a few days ago. One huge reason was that the rav4 hybrid specs I wanted were still in build phase and would have to wait months while my trade in depreciates more and more. This was available now, has Toyotas proven hybrid system, and has the shell of the cx50 that’s been out for 2-3 years so some gremlins have been ironed out since its introduction. Paid in full. Loving it.

The only problem is that Toyota/Lexus is playing games with inventory making products unavailable to keep prices high. Dealers are ripping off the public. Hyundai gives a long warranty because you will need it. They make a great product, but I question the company's ethics.

@StayGold_MrsEКүн бұрын
There are 2 major recalls on the Honda Crvs and I was just about to buy. The gearbox worm wheel part was manufactured incorrectly causing the steering issues that make the steering stick and could not be steered at all worst case which is dangerous, but now they have the high pressure fuel pump cracks that can leak and cause fires! I watched a video 10 days ago of a 2025 Honda CRV sport hybrid touring, the exact model and color I was ready to go out and buy cash the last 2 weeks but hesitated due to these recalls and after I watched this guy's video where his caught fire driving a few miles away from where I live and then burned to the ground I was shocked. The video was up for a 9 days and I went to show it to my husband the evening that I watched it and it said that KZbin had removed the video because the account was terminated. Then I was searching and someone else had downloaded that guy's video and did a whole video of his own on a car lot showing all the ones that are in the Honda graveyard in back of a dealership with signs that say DO NOT SELL because of the recalls. They're not able to sell these vehicles and he said he has skin in the game because his wife drives one and he's pissed off about this fuel pump danger. Just to add insult to injury I watched the video last night of some Honda mechanics that were showing the process they have to go through to see if they can recreate the error code for the fuel pump and they literally attach the vehicles to a machine and let them idle overnight for 13 to 14 hours!! I'm not paying $45,000 for a brand new car that has been idling for 14 hours straight. If I could I would kick Honda in the balls for this because I LOVE that CRV and now I'm stuck on pause:(

The best value for what will probably be the most reliable hybrid system ever created is purchasing a 2024 Toyota Venza BEFORE they are all gone. This hybrid system is so reliable it's now being installed in Mazda CX 50s. I'm averaging 44mpg. No turbocharger to wear out or maintain. No mechanical drivetrain to wear out or maintain. With all wheel drive & 219hp, the rear electric motor makes it perform like a V6 from a dead stop, sips gas with a 40% thermally efficient Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder and has a Lexus-lite comfort and style. I'm not a sunroof guy so I would get one that didn't have the stargaze roof system, but the stargaze roof should never leak since there are ZERO seals to maintain, or replace.

The only problem with Toyota, Lexus and Honda in Canada, in Ontario and Quebec provinces, your chance to park car and not find it aftet the shopping is 70%. They're good and that's why those are on the top of most stolen cars overall, because of that the insurance rate is unreasonably high. List is great, but basically without those cars Kia or Hyundai looks like better choices..

Not enough emphasis is put on Hyundai groups larger warranty compared to others. We need to stop saying that better design, technology, and use of interior space, as well as an awesome hybrid system - is some issue just because they don't play it cowardly safe like the others. The warranty negates its so-called problems with reliability, and I think you're mistaken about what most buyers actually look for and care about, by always placing them at the bottom, especially for the Tucson hybrid.

Long term reliability for latest Hyundai Tuscon hybrid is only the speculation. Based on the actual data Honda CRV is about the same reliable as Tuscon and Kia Sportage . If you do not intend keep the vehicle for more than 5 -6 years, 2025 Tuscon Hybrid is the best pick. It has the smoothest, most quiet and powerful hybrid system from the entire group with the normal auto transmission instead of whining CVT. If you want keep vehicle for 10-15 years or more, Toyota Rav 4 or Lexus NX 350h is the best buy.
