A correction. Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao (the ABC-islands) speak a native language called Papiamento/Papiamentu. Dutch and English are also official languages, but are less popular on the islands. Dutch is mostly spoken by Dutch people living on the island, and is also taught in school, but isn't really spoken by native Curaçaoans on the island, outside of school.

You missed the caribbean islands of Nicaragua (Corn Islands), Honduras (Bay Islands) and Belize (like San Pedro, famous because of Madonna's song La Isla Bonita.) It is also important not forgetting that the caribbean coast of Centralamerica shares culture and language roots with other caribbean nations such as Jamaica since english creole or patois is the main language spoken in Costa Rica's, Panama's and Nicaragua's caribbean coast; and Garifuna (an african-native caribbean language) in caribbean Honduras.

@@eilisoneil7217 I'm Estonian, but well, a half of modern Estonian lands were (forcefully) ruled over by the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, so I'd say that I'm qualified to talk about the topic. No, Livonian definitely wasn't the main language back then. From what I have read, the elite consisted of Baltic Germans who owned the land and rented it out to the peasants (on extremely unfair conditions) and Polish (and seldom Lithuanian) people who may have been the rulers, but had no regional power. The people under the commonwealth spoke whatever language was their mother tongue (Lithuanian, Estonian, Livonian, Polish etc), however, Livonian was not a language with that many speakers even back then. Unfortunately, the beautiful language has become extinct nowadays.

Technically it was Lithuanian-Poland Commonwealth, but actually it was Latvian because of stated reasons above. As Lithuanian I can say that we do not consider this reagion to have something in common with Lithuania besides the fact that it was incorporated during Commonwealth times. The Caribbean is confusing because some people falsely label it as the West Indies. When Columbus set sail to the Indies (Modern Day Philippines) he got lost and ended up in the Caribbean. He then called the Caribbean the Indies. Decades after….captains realized that there were 2 Indies and were forced to rename the Caribbean the West Indies and the Philippines the East Indies to stop captains from getting lost.

It happened and failed. Didn’t have the entire Caribbean collective, it lacked the Latin Nations. I’d say it’s tough to do one without the Latin Caribbean taking part and one big problem is that those nations tend to have identity crisis or vehemently fight them (DR and PR especially. Cuba is a hot mess. Haiti is complicated and mostly seems nullified into no action). Without these it genuinely makes no sense.

Also, being an American, Hawaii would probably be the first thing to come to mind for him when describing a scenario with overseas island territories that are considered tropical/recreational spots by the larger sovereign nations. To put things into better perspective, if he were a Chilean youtuber from Chile that covers geography topics instead, he'd probably find himself drawing comparisons of all the oversea islands with Eastern Island/Rapa Nui.

Venezuelan in a Caribbean country itself is not only cause their islands, is the country with the biggest part of the entire Caribbean shores and also the Sea got his name from the Caribe Indians from the north eastern part of the country even the capital city Caracas got his name after the indian word used by the Caribe Indians to describe the Valley(specifically it was due to the abudance of the Amaranthus dubius called "Caracas" by the Caribbean Native in the zone) and also the spanish caribbean accent is present in the north eastern part of the country as a heritage from the Spanish Canary accent used by the bigger part of the spanish populating the country and also the other Spanish Colonies in the Caribbean(Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic)
