Sometime in the 85 to 89 years we rented a cabin on Flour lake... I took the canoe up to Bearskin to fish and paddled to Duncan portage and walked half way to stair step portage... Ran into something large moving in the woods, never did identify what it was, probably a Beaver.. LOL.. I was on Lake One over east of Ely and thought a Moose was coming out of the woods and it was a beaver dragging a large limb it had harvested.... LOL.... Love your videos brings back good memories!!!!!!!

shugemery. Ha. You probably saw us (my teenage son and I paddle a Bell Northwoods. As a sidenote, we ran into a guy over on the rat Lake portage - he guides - who asked, “Didn’t I see you guys last year about the same time?” We remembered him, too. We met and chatted near Monument Portage heading into Saganaga. It can be a small world, sometimes.). In your second video - around the 17 minute mark - you zoomed out to film a trio in a canoe; we chatted with them on the portage trail. Then, on Duncan, all of the sites looked occupied, so we stayed at the last site on the west end. And, it may have actually been us you heard chopping wood. We use twig stoves (Silverfire Scouts; a former Force Recon Marine in Oregon makes them), and we also make camp fires, so we process a fair amount of wood. Well, one of these days, we’ll probably bump into each other.

Wooo buddy! I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Tensahedron Stand - it looks great for normal sized folks, but I'm a bit larger. For what weight is it rated? I'm thinking a DIY version could be put together with heavy duty PVC pipe, but may be heavier and more bulky to carry. I think the name comes from tensegrity or tensional intergity an interesting class of structures. Without the ridge line and ground line between the points, the structure would not hold. A walking pole at either or both ends would help with stability. Thanks for all the great videos my friend! You & your family are always welcome in Scotland! Luv ya!
