Banks, Reasons, Carson, Taylor...the Holy Quartet of NYG linebackers. Great memories of all of them, and then we had Pepper to spice things up a bit!

I mentioned these guys and imagine them all in their prime with Pittsburgh Steelers "Steele Curtain" on the line that would be a dominant Defense

When “the hoodie” Bill Belichick says; “ I am not putting anyone in Lawrence Taylor’s class”,, that sentence says it all. Lawrence Taylor & Barry Sanders are the two football players I had the most enjoyment watching even when they were beating up my favourite team.

George Young was named NFL Executive of the Year a record five times in 1984, 1986, 1990, 1993, and 1997. Jim Burt, Phil McConkey, and Zeke Mowatt weren't drafted.

@Supreme 12860 Oh yeah..Mr Young...for sure....was NEVER HAMSTRUNG by the Maras so Yes... he was able to put Top Shelf guys on the Roster that he KNEW would Deliver. PROPS to the 84 Bears but In MY Opinion the Bug Blue Wrecking Crew earned every letter in that Handle were one of the ALL-TIME GREATEST DEFENSES for the stretch between 1985-1990 when they eventually began to slip. Ask the NINERS.....hahahaha All good things must come to an end.

disagree Derrick Thomas Chiefs great 7 sacks in a game no probowl lbs beside him or probowl linemen in front of him died in accident in nis Prime, If he lived nfl would have its only 250 sacks member

@@starwarsfannumber I love Derrick Thomas, he was amazing. But he was past his prime when he died and was not quite on par with LT, who literally reshaped the game. Of course, it’s just my opinion, yours is as valid as mine.

People seem to forget, as great as the 85 Bears defense was, that whole era had teams with great defenses. More importantly and more specific, it was the era of great linebackers. The Bears, Giants, Eagles, Saints and several more. I just recall some great linebacker tandems.

Best player ive ever seen in my life. He had the effect a QB had offense on defense. Teams started drafting differently in the 80's just to deal with him. QB would call time out simply caude they didnt know where was lined up before the snap. Top 3 player ever, offende or defense. Best def player ever, non arguable

Lawrence could be a legendary defensive coordinator if he had the desire to coach. Also peyton manning as a offensive coordinator.

@SillyGoose2024 6 жыл бұрын
uhhh, no. there is no such *thing* as a "legendary defensive coordinator" anymore because the NFL has made it impossible to play defense nowadays. name one defensive coordinator who is of THIS era (last 10 years) who is "legendary" ? No one is because no one can be.

Banks should be in the HOF. Without Simms's performance against Denver to win his first Superbowl, Carl Banks would have won the MVP of that game. And he was awesome against Buffalo in the second superbowl as well, and those were just examples of how good he was.

@@atiboyful I'm not going to be lectured on cocaine by someone who's never done cocaine. The crash from cocaine lasts a lot longer than 30 minutes. It puts your body through the ringer. It takes a while to fully recover. Also, I read LT's autobiography where he talks about his struggles with cocaine. But I guess that's also "bullsheet" because you're the expert, right?

the.80s bad boys on the court defensive monster's destroying qbs and every other position. Eagles knocked out 3 redskins qbs punt returner brian Mitchell taking snaps. Im telling u Jerome Brown, Reggie White, Clyde Simmons were crazy good didn't matter who was next to them pitts or Mike golic u couldn't run any pass besides 3 step drops all 3 could play de or dt
