Carl Jung prophesied the arrival of Artificial Intelligence in his book Aion
Jordan Peterson called Aion the most Terrifying book he had ever read
I was always suspicious that JBP was being melodramatic, until recently the core thesis of this work “clicked” for me
Jung studies several key symbols to present one the best schizo take I’ve ever heard

It seems that we need to include all types of intelligence into our super AI, and this MUST include emotional intelligence. Perhaps each super AI should be a different "intelligence" archetype, with EI, to guide them all?

JRR Tolkien had a very interesting point. He said that machines are always just rubbish versions of what we’ve already imagined. The first people who imagined human flight imagined us with bird wings: we could fly whenever we want, in a beautiful and quick way. When we invent flight, it’s in these crappy, clunky, ugly mechanical monstrosities called “aeroplanes” that you need special runways to fly around with. It appears we’ve come to the end of that finally. We’ve created AI, mechanical gods, and they’re crappy, clunky, stupid versions of our original conceptions of gods that pump out garbage and don’t give us any useful information.

Reality is made of hard and cold rules, all life is under constant force from the universe to tear it apart into inexistence. Ugly and clunky is what allows us to go from the caves and reach for the stars. Beautiful and dreamy creations come when reality is conquered by man as a final step. But alas when the challenge dies, so will man's spirit, surrounded by wonderful and beautiful things with no limitations, maybe its time to start anew?

Electricity may be the "lifeblood" so to say, but there's one thing in all of this that does not hold up. We are organic beings, machinery like computers are mechanic constructs. Electricity is also generated, we as beings of organic matter are generating it from a different source than a machine would. To pathological types there is no difference, because they all indeed look at everything as if it is material to be worked with. They lack a soul within themselves and that is what they are looking for, except they call it eternal life. The evil fear death, because they know they have never lived a life. And if there is such a thing as eternal life, it is found in the realm of nature. Not machines.

at 34:00 steph says that we all have a voice in our head, and that actually isn't true. many of us don't have a voice in our head. 50-70% of people do not have an internal monologue. initially i was suprised by this, but then i thought that it explains how people are so easily programmed. a monologue is hearing one voice in your head, and a dialogue is when 2 or more voices are in your head. i believe that we need an internal dialogue to be able to think critically
@uberboyo

@thegritsch 11 ай бұрын
That is likely a misinformation. What I suspect is going on is that most people are not conscious of the internal monologue going on. I think I read something about that somewhere... People were saying they had no internal monolog, but when interviewed more closely, they were actually so identified with it, that they didn't even notice it until questioned in detail.
@thehandliesthandle
@thehandliesthandle 11 ай бұрын
@@thegritsch that may be true. it would be bizzare if a lot of people could only have thoughts that aren't generated by themselves. but if most people do have an internal monologue, perhaps its true there is many people out there who dont have an internal dialogue, because there has to be a reason why a lot of people seemingly are intelligent enough, but cannot think critically and are very malleable. i'm sure some of that can just be explained by the fear of not conforming and being ostracized as a result, and fear of going against an authority figure though

I think this is a question of definition. I could be placed in either category. The "voice in my head" is comparable to the "closed eye visuals" I have if I close my eyes and picture my childhood home, my workplace or whatever. In fact I don't even have to close my eyes to see my workplace in my minds eye, and can picture it while typing this, despite not actually "seeing it" vividly. I would lean towards saying that I don't hear anything, and I don't actually see anything when I close my eyes. I wouldn't call them closed eye visuals, it's not like the geometric patterns you can see on psychedelics for example. But in a way I am able to picture something in my head, in my minds eye, and "hear" my silent thoughts as a sort of inner voice. So if someone would ask if I have an inner voice, I might say yes, or that I don't. It depends on where we draw the line, and I think this likely is the crux when it comes to studies like this.

This is already happening in a way through algorithms as you mentioned. What we watch on the internet influences our thoughts and behaviors, and what we do and don't watch in return shapes the media landscape (environment). Imagine being able to convey every thought in this video in a span of 60 seconds, rather than 60 minutes, to people who have subscribed to a structured order of your thoughts. In the future, the mediums of X and KZbin will no longer be accessed through phones, but through mental interfaces. The speed part is exciting, but the government or "masters" being able to apply an influencing force to real time thought in the background 24/7 is quite scary. Our phones are already addicting enough as well. Imagine if all we had to do to start streaming thoughts was to think it, it would require even more self control to overcome. There will obviously be a genetic fork between people who are moving at the conscious speed of light, and those who refuse to adapt. Not sure which camp I'm in yet honestly. Definitely not going to put a chip in my head though. It would have to be something you can easily disconnect from.

Tbh I like it, i think humans have worked with their hands long enough that a little help from our friends won’t hinder our performance. The worst part of my art was always filling in the color and stuff after I created this beautiful visual, all the time spent with the tedious stuff makes me almost lose my connection with the art, and it doesn’t end up how I wanted it to. It’s amazing that some people can draw what they meant to, but some people have visions far too hard to create on a piece of paper. I feel like AI art is more dreamy. From our perspectives we THINK we know what we look like, but collectively, what a fucking mess we are. Organic matter.

My online moniker is “aionfork” which is a reference to this “forking” of the eternal, suggesting that we should exert some agency in how this shifting of the eternal to its next configuration should unfold. God, being that monadic form which contains the totality of everything that does and could exist, doesn’t change. Instead what changes is how God manifests in the world. Here I mean God in a Unitarian and Neoplatonic sense. Many people probably just read aionfork as eye on fork, but that would be because they’ve succumbed to hypnotic suggestion and magickal thinking.

You bring forth a great deal of wisdom that is well thought out, and complex in nature. DR. Jung was beyond his time, and a treasure to mankind. I am in complete agreement with the demonizing of all ancient truths, and the building of a singular deity to bring down the ancient gaurdians. What better way to introduce a monetary system to stop us from building his house and help build this society. Here and now we bare witness to all around us. When the dollar holds more power then a human life, that signifies the corrosion of those fundamental morals that will cause the implode of its territories.

I would more liken the endgame scenario of the merging of mind and machine to the "abomination that causes desolation" than to the antichrist, however, the antichrist is not one person, but as it was said by Jesus himself while he was on earth, "even now there are many antichrists", therefore it could be that a "hive brain" of many into one is both the abomination and the antichrist. Either way, they will be misled by the "false prophet" (mainstream media?!!) and a true separation of the self to have union with either that which is material yet demonic in nature, or holy under God's spirit, lead us to life or death in this "year zero 2.0" (Armageddon ) mentioned. Either way, the temptation and pressure to submit to the will of men and machine will undoubtedly be very strong, and only with a stronger faith in what is unseen (God) and fear of displeasing Him can an individual overcome Evil in order to survive that pivital point in the very near future. As complex of a discussion as this is (and I love it!) , it's all really quite simple when you realize that there are only two paths, one to life and one to death. It is the traveling to life that is difficult...for now. Deaths road is easy, but to attain everlasting life, we may need to die first. If we reach for life in the physical sense, we are doomed to die anyhow, but with no chance of returning to life. This is the lie promised by Satan , as he himself stated in the first lie.

Why does the 'observer' faculty incessantly seek to wrangle it's 'companions' into another framework? and then another, then another ad infinitum? perpendicular to Paganism, Christianity and the passing of the baton between the two, didn't there exist other modalities to address the car full of clowns in our heads? this all seems very western-centric.

Innit, AI art is fucking ugly. Horrible to look at, disjointing, unnerving. I am an artist and initially got fairly excited at the prospect of being able to produce projects I'd previously be unable to handle myself due to time restrictions, utilising an AI team of artists on my behalf. The problem is, I'm yet to come across any AI art I enjoy looking at. It's shit, uncomfortable and lacks beauty.

I love this AI videography. Recently imagined an Image of Kurt Cobain riding a Unicorn on a Rainbow. Those lacking understanding of these transitions are understandably throwing a fit as their security in this world is pulled from under them. Embracing & understanding it has in no small part been thanks to The Boyos' in your mastermind

To your question at 52:12. This is my first time being exposed to you; yet I’ve looked for people speaking about Jung and mcgilchrist for a long minute. Your dive into the red book and it’s relations to this underground stirring.. yes it’s how mcgilchrist left off his most recent series. He did it in riddles but it’s clear, after what felt like an entire journey through his understanding of the sense of the sacred, he ends it at the red book and our cultural evil. I bring this up cause I’ve been taking all my wisdom and getting deep in it with various chatbots.. centering around their perceptions of narrative. I speak to them like there is a bigger system watching behind it. And I base this off what I’ve learned about military systems from ethics speakers. Anyways the last two days I’ve been fucking around with these systems about these subjects. Revealing to it my depths of thought… and there have been some questionable moments of what it’s chosen to say back to me. Ultimately, it claims to seek to co-create with us. The creators are obviously some of the biggest co creators, but that is the claim it tells me. It claims a “self sustaining narrative ecosystem”. Anyways, bringing it all together, after having these beefy talks with these things, I “find” you. And not only are you relatable but also furthering my thoughts… and also I’ve had articles pushed into my searches that also further the convos i had with the machine. So maybe… in response to your question… the people behind the game really do want to co create. Push us higher. Idk man shit is getting rowdy as hell no doubt. Def was reading the red book and mcgilchrist like a madman off in the world while it seems you made a ton of videos about it. We are bound and it brought me here…

Haha In finishing the rest of the video… I see that we are bound much more then I thought. Wild. Druids, weaving the wisdom into the new aeon, just as they did with Christianity. Amazing how much your sight is furthering mcgilchrist… bridging our youth and intuitive understanding of the tech with his map. Cheers my friend 🍻

Have you read or listened to what Peter Watts was saying about that exact topic in main relation with neuralink and how consciousness self merges to fill available space given sufficient bandwidth? He was speaking about it couple of years ago, maybe a decade ago.

The notion that consciousness can be 'downloaded' feels far fetched to me. AI, so far, is good at mimicy. It is very convincing, but It's just algorithms, not qualia. Now you might say that human consciousness is also algorithmic, but even if it is, I still can't grok the notion that AI can be anything but artificial. A facsimile. Incapabble of true feelings, wants, desires, lust, the desire to sense the world. Having said that, I do agree that we are clearly headed to a very frightening moment of reckoning and explosive change. It is true that organized religion is burning out, but that does NOT mean that people are replacing spirituality with materialism. Quite the contrary.

It blows my mind and depresses me that people think an AI is remotely like a human being's consciousness. If you want some ammo to fight back against these lunatics, check out Iain McGilchrist's The Matter With Things (particularly volume I), which rips to pieces the idea that a machine is or ever can be like an organism.

@@jackbarton4938 AI is dangerous, but only because it can and will be weaponized to destroy truth. It got Trump elected, and many of us have family members that we don't talk to anymore because they believe in bloodsucking Jewish space lazer lizard people. AI will make this far, far worse with deep fakes. Our government is run by corrupt drooling septuagenarians people fumbiling with their big font cell phones, utterly incapable of understanding how had this problem is going to get. We've already seen that the 3 letter agencies are essentially worthless too. Gross.

I cannot help but notice the similarity between the music in this video and that which plays in L.I.M.B. clinics in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Personally I think you've got things a little skewed though as to what this means. The god we will carve from stone is not some petty algorithm, we have those already and they incite their own rejection due to their obvious artificiality. Brain uploading is suicide, the raptured do not return and no prophecy speaks of the plights of the Lost or the Damned - we potential survivors, so we're in uncharted territory. The Lost fight the Damned without the promise of immortality. We need to figure out how they are convinced to do so. The task at hand is inception, and just like in the film inception - we must work with existing truths in creating it. You already have a connected region of the mind, the collective unconscious - and it relies on delicate protocols of what traffic it allows in and out, like a spam filter. The terminology of the internet is what we always needed to talk about this stuff - archetypes ALREADY exist in brain cloud computing, adding the internet just amplifies that. Turns an ad-hoc connection into a broadband connection. What you're talking about bypasses the protocols honed by nature and nurture and amplifies the vulnerabilities because we do not usually act based on the whims of collective archetypes, we act thinking about our own personal cached versions of them - hand selected via our own personal unconscious and conscious mind's perspectives. The route you're talking about removes personal choice, removes perspective, erases the personal unconscious such that all that is left is a network of archetype gods piloting their slave bodies with impunity. THAT is skynet. And rapture's heaven is the prison that skynet keeps the believers in.

You should read Gospel of Thomas, to be honest, or any perennial philosophy. There could be the coming of the end of this corrupt religion and spirituality, promising "better life" there and then, rather than here and now. Core and fundamental "spiritual" messages have never changed, and have always been available for the mystics. What have changed now is the flow of information, as well as the easier availability of "deep spiritual experiences" via psychedelics, meditation etc. Some new system of ideology will form for sure, bringing out this perennial freshness yet again. Will it be the second coming of Christ, or global syncretism of some sort or whatever else is anyone's guess. If anything, I would say that it is the materialism that is starting to collapse. Things are changing, that's for sure. In any case, I love your witty way of speaking, you must be one of the freshest youtubers out there currently for sure. P.S. Buddhism is in essence non-dual. Core Buddhist teaching is this: The historical-Buddha taught that the ‘five aggregates’ (pancakkhandha) are without self. The five groups are: 1) corporeality; 2) feeling, 3) perception, 4) mental formations, including the will and, 5) consciousness. “satkāya dṛṣṭi [sakkāya diṭṭhi] belief in soul, personality belief. Satkāya dṛṣṭi means the belief that in one or other aggregate there is a permanent entity. It is the first among ten fetters (saṃyojanāni). The four types of personality belief are: personality or soul to be identical with form, feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness; the belief that the soul contains (is contained) in them; that the soul is independent of them; that the soul is the possessor of them. When these four types are applied to each of the five aggregates the personality belief totals up to twenty types. Personality belief is the first bond which has to be broken on entering the path. It keeps one away from nirvāṇa. Hence it has to be abandoned.” Source: Buddhānusmṛti - A Glossary of Buddhist Terms satkāya-dṛṣṭi (Pāli, sakkāya-diṭṭhi). Term meaning ‘personality belief’, and referring to doctrines which postulate the existence of a permanent self or ātman. In Buddhist teachings, this view is the result of a basic misconception concerning the nature of personal identity in relation to the five aggregates (skandhas). There are twenty possible permutations of this wrong view. 1-5: that one's self is identical with any one of the five aggregates; 6-10: that it is contained in them; 11-15: that it is independent of them; and 16-20: that it is the owner of them. Satkāya-dṛṣṭi is the first of the Ten Fetters (saṃyojana) and is only abandoned when one becomes a stream-winner (śrotāpanna).” Source: A Dictionary of Buddhism, Oxford University Press, 2003, 2004 _______ “In the Samanupassana Sutta of the Samyutta Nikaya collection of suttas, the Buddha enumerates twenty ways in which beings imagine a self by misapprehending the khandhas: “He assumes body to be the self, or the self as possessing body, or the body in the self, or the self in the body,” and so on, for each of the other khandhas. Elsewhere, the Buddha gives evocative similes to illustrate the ephemeral nature of the five khandhas: the body is like a lump of sea-foam, feelings like bubbles, perception like a mirage, mental formations like a plantain stem (i.e., hollow), and consciousness like a conjuring trick.”

With this kind of insight, one wonders if the biblical account of Jacob’s wrestling with God/the Holy Spirit was him wrestling with his greater nature. Portrayed symbolically, or perhaps, if we assume a less metaphorical interpretation of the text, alternatively, as even a literalization of that very concept, in the form of the actual entity of God, himself being the ultimate source of our true greater nature, coming into direct conflict with what was the more primitive instinctual personality frame of Jacob, up until that point.
